Joseph hitched the horses to his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel. Joseph presented himself to him, threw his arms around him, and wept for a long time.Then Israel said to Joseph,“ I’m ready to die now because I have seen your face and you are still alive!”

Israel said to Joseph,“ I never expected to see your face again, but now God has even let me see your offspring.”

grieving most of all over his statement that they would never see his face again. And they accompanied him to the ship.

since he has been longing for all of you and was distressed because you heard that he was sick.Indeed, he was so sick that he nearly died. However, God had mercy on him, and not only on him but also on me, so that I would not have sorrow upon sorrow.
