as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.

You will shine as you hold on tight to the word of life. Then I will be able to boast about you on the day Christ returns. I can be happy that I didn’t run or work for nothing.

For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.But shun profane[ and] vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

For the word of God[ is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and[ is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

For what[ is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing?[ Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.

Men[ and] brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

What I tell you in darkness,[ that] speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear,[ that] preach ye upon the housetops.
