好使你們無可責備、而又天真，在彎曲乖僻的世代中做上帝的兒女、無瑕無疵；你們顯於其中像發光之體在世界裏，

好使你們成為無可指責、純潔無偽的人，在這扭曲、敗壞的世代中，做神毫無瑕疵的兒女；在這世代中，要像星星的光輝一樣照耀在世上。

俾爾純粹無疵為上帝子、無瑕於邪逆之世、顯為燭世之光、

毋間隙、毋駁雜、猶上帝子、處橫逆之境、無疵可議、反光燭於世、

則可純潔無疵、為天主之子、無可指摘、在此邪僻詭異詭異或作乖戾之世、可照耀其中、如燭世之光、

俾成完人、而為天主之孝子、處邪污之世、而能保守清白、明如日月、照耀乾坤；

so that you may become blameless and pure,“ children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky

Then you will be pure and without blame. You will be children of God without fault among sinful and evil people. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.

“ You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden.No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house.In the same way, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

so that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. For He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Conduct yourselves honorably among the Gentiles, so that in a case where they speak against you as those who do what is evil, they will, by observing your good works, glorify God on the day of visitation.

His people have acted corruptly toward Him; this is their defect— they are not His children but a devious and crooked generation.

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord shines over you.

Look at how great a love the Father has given us that we should be called God’s children. And we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it didn’t know Him.Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him because we will see Him as He is.And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself just as He is pure.

Therefore, dear friends, while you wait for these things, make every effort to be found at peace with Him without spot or blemish.

He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the desires of your former ignorance.But as the One who called you is holy, you also are to be holy in all your conduct;for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy.And if you address as Father the One who judges impartially based on each one’s work, you are to conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your temporary residence.

or stealing, but demonstrating utter faithfulness, so that they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior in everything.

so that you can approve the things that are superior and can be pure and blameless in the day of Christ,

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

And with many other words he testified and strongly urged them, saying,“ Be saved from this corrupt generation!”

He did this to present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless.

Therefore, do not become their partners.For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light—

An overseer, therefore, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, self-controlled, sensible, respectable, hospitable, an able teacher,

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept sound and blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Both were righteous in God’s sight, living without blame according to all the commands and requirements of the Lord.

But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is gracious to the ungrateful and evil.

Say these things, and encourage and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.

Publicly rebuke those who sin, so that the rest will also be afraid.

John was a burning and shining lamp, and for a time you were willing to enjoy his light.
