So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

我所愛者乎、爾常順服、不第我與爾同在之時、今我與爾不同在、更當畏懼戰慄、成爾求救之工、

是故吾親愛之同道乎、爾其戰戰兢兢、力行弗懈、以保爾終。素稔爾等從善如流；當予與爾等偕時固已如此、今予遠在他方、爾等更宜小心翼翼、服膺聖教。

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed— not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence— continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

My dear friends, you have always obeyed God. You obeyed while I was with you. And you have obeyed even more while I am not with you. So continue to work out your own salvation. Do it with fear and trembling.

Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.

For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge,knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness,godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.The person who lacks these things is blind and shortsighted and has forgotten the cleansing from his past sins.Therefore, brothers, make every effort to confirm your calling and election, because if you do these things you will never stumble.

“ Lord,” someone asked Him,“ are there few being saved?” He said to them,“ Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because I tell you, many will try to enter and won’t be able

Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Let us then make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall into the same pattern of disobedience.

Don’t work for the food that perishes but for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal of approval on Him.”“ What can we do to perform the works of God?” they asked.Jesus replied,“ This is the work of God— that you believe in the One He has sent.”

Dear friends, I urge you as strangers and temporary residents to abstain from fleshly desires that war against you.

All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves.

Brothers, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead,I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus.

Just one thing: Live your life in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind, working side by side for the faith that comes from the gospel,

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

My hand made all these things, and so they all came into being. This is the Lord’s declaration. I will look favorably on this kind of person: one who is humble, submissive in spirit, and trembles at My word.

Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us,

Besides this, knowing the time, it is already the hour for you to wake up from sleep, for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.The night is nearly over, and the daylight is near, so let us discard the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.Let us walk with decency, as in the daylight: not in carousing and drunkenness; not in sexual impurity and promiscuity; not in quarreling and jealousy.But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no plans to satisfy the fleshly desires.

After He was perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him,

This is why I endure all things for the elect: so that they also may obtain salvation, which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.

We recall, in the presence of our God and Father, your work of faith, labor of love, and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ,

So then, my brothers, you are dearly loved and longed for— my joy and crown. In this manner stand firm in the Lord, dear friends.

Slaves, obey your human masters with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ.

The slacker craves, yet has nothing, but the diligent is fully satisfied.

eternal life to those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality;

I tremble in awe of You; I fear Your judgments.

And his affection toward you is even greater as he remembers the obedience of all of you, and how you received him with fear and trembling.

Let us therefore make a covenant before our God to send away all the foreign wives and their children, according to the counsel of my lord and of those who tremble at the command of our God. Let it be done according to the law.

However, they do it to receive a crown that will fade away, but we a crown that will never fade away.Therefore I do not run like one who runs aimlessly or box like one beating the air.Instead, I discipline my body and bring it under strict control, so that after preaching to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

And you Philippians know that in the early days of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you alone.

Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon so that I also may be encouraged when I hear news about you.

“ But get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
