When the name of Jesus is spoken, everyone will kneel down to worship him. Everyone in heaven and on earth and under the earth will kneel down to worship him.

I have made a promise in my own name. I have spoken with complete honesty. I will not take back a single word. I said,‘ Everyone will kneel down to me. Everyone’s mouth will make promises in my name.’They will say,‘ The Lord is the only one who can save us. Only he can make us strong.’ ” All those who have been angry with the Lord will come to him. And they will be put to shame.But the Lord will save all the people of Israel. And so they will boast about the Lord.

Then Jesus came to them. He said,“ All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

All creatures in heaven, on earth, under the earth, and on the sea were speaking. The whole creation was speaking. I heard all of them say,“ Praise and honor belong to the one who sits on the throne and to the Lamb! Glory and power belong to God for ever and ever!”The four living creatures said,“ Amen.” And the elders fell down and worshiped.

God’s first and only Son is over all things. When God brings him into the world, he says,“ Let all God’s angels worship him.”( Deuteronomy 32:43)

Now then, who are you to judge your brother or sister? Why do you act like you’re better than they are? We will all stand in God’s courtroom to be judged.It is written,“‘ You can be sure that I live,’ says the Lord.‘ And you can be just as sure that everyone will kneel down in front of me. Every tongue will have to tell the truth about God.’ ”( Isaiah 45:23)

“ Do not be amazed at this. A time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice.They will all come out of their graves. People who have done what is good will rise and live again. People who have done what is evil will rise and be found guilty.

It will all come about when history has been completed. God will then bring together all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

At the same time, the 24 elders fall down and worship the one who sits on the throne. He lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns in front of the throne. They say,

I bow in prayer to the Father because of my work among you.

Then they twisted thorns together to make a crown. They placed it on his head. They put a stick in his right hand. Then they fell on their knees in front of him and made fun of him.“ We honor you, king of the Jews!” they said.

The sea gave up the dead that were in it. And Death and Hell gave up their dead. Each person was judged by what they had done.

Jonah was in the belly of a huge fish for three days and three nights. Something like that will happen to the Son of Man. He will spend three days and three nights in the grave.

What does“ he went up” mean? It can only mean that he also came down to the lower, earthly places.

He also had him ride in a chariot. Joseph was now next in command after Pharaoh. People went in front of Joseph and shouted,“ Get down on your knees!” By doing all these things, Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of the whole land of Egypt.

How did God answer him? God said,“ I have kept 7,000 people for myself. They have not bowed down to Baal.”( 1 Kings 19:18)
