But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,

that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,

But as you abound in everything— in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us— see that you abound in this grace also.

But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another;and indeed you do so toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia. But we urge you, brethren, that you increase more and more;

Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature.

Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other,

Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.

but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

Another parable He put forth to them, saying:“ The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field,which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”Another parable He spoke to them:“ The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened.”

But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God;

Yet the righteous will hold to his way, And he who has clean hands will be stronger and stronger.
