For it is right for me to think this about all of you, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel all of you became partners in God’s grace together with me.

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me.

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you. I love you with all my heart. I may be held by chains, or I may be standing up for the truth of the good news. Either way, all of you share in God’s grace together with me.

It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart. You share with me the special favor of God, both in my imprisonment and in defending and confirming the truth of the Good News.

Indeed, it is right for me to think this way about all of you, because I have you in my heart, and you are all partners with me in grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me.

just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace.

I do not say this to condemn you, for I told you before that you are in our hearts so that we die together and live together with you.

because of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now.

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles–

I, Paul, write this greeting by my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.

except that the Holy Spirit warns me in town after town that imprisonment and persecutions are waiting for me.

for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may be able to speak boldly as I ought to speak.

The latter do so from love because they know that I am placed here for the defense of the gospel.The former proclaim Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, because they think they can cause trouble for me in my imprisonment.

Nevertheless, you did well to share with me in my trouble.

for which I suffer hardship to the point of imprisonment as a criminal, but God’s message is not imprisoned!

So as your fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings and as one who shares in the glory that will be revealed, I urge the elders among you:

You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone,

But in your case, dear friends, even though we speak like this, we are convinced of better things relating to salvation.For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love you have demonstrated for his name, in having served and continuing to serve the saints.

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, partners in a heavenly calling, take note of Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess,

Indeed, as long as I am in this tabernacle, I consider it right to stir you up by way of a reminder,

So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me, a prisoner for his sake, but by God’s power accept your share of suffering for the gospel.

It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision carries any weight– the only thing that matters is faith working through love.

We thank God always for all of you as we mention you constantly in our prayers,because we recall in the presence of our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.We know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you,in that our gospel did not come to you merely in words, but in power and in the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction( surely you recall the character we displayed when we came among you to help you).

For you all are sons of the light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of the darkness.

I do all these things because of the gospel, so that I can be a participant in it.

But rejoice in the degree that you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed you may also rejoice and be glad.

Then the commanding officer came up and arrested him and ordered him to be tied up with two chains; he then asked who he was and what he had done.

At the same time pray for us too, that God may open a door for the message so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

After they had beaten them severely, they threw them into prison and commanded the jailer to guard them securely.Receiving such orders, he threw them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the rest of the prisoners were listening to them.

I, therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live worthily of the calling with which you have been called,

At times you were publicly exposed to abuse and afflictions, and at other times you came to share with others who were treated in that way.For in fact you shared the sufferings of those in prison, and you accepted the confiscation of your belongings with joy, because you knew that you certainly had a better and lasting possession.
