It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me.

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you. I love you with all my heart. I may be held by chains, or I may be standing up for the truth of the good news. Either way, all of you share in God’s grace together with me.

It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart. You share with me the special favor of God, both in my imprisonment and in defending and confirming the truth of the Good News.

這一等是出於愛心，知道我是為辯明福音設立的；那一等傳基督是出於結黨，並不誠實，意思要加增我捆鎖的苦楚。

然而，你們和我同受患難原是美事。

我為這福音受苦難，甚至被捆綁，像犯人一樣。然而神的道卻不被捆綁。

我這作長老、作基督受苦的見證、同享後來所要顯現之榮耀的，勸你們中間與我同作長老的人：

你們就是我們的薦信，寫在我們的心裏，被眾人所知道所念誦的。

親愛的弟兄們，我們雖是這樣說，卻深信你們的行為強過這些，而且近乎得救。因為神並非不公義，竟忘記你們所做的工和你們為他名所顯的愛心，就是先前伺候聖徒，如今還是伺候。

同蒙天召的聖潔弟兄啊，你們應當思想我們所認為使者、為大祭司的耶穌。

我以為應當趁我還在這帳棚的時候提醒你們，激發你們；

你不要以給我們的主作見證為恥，也不要以我這為主被囚的為恥；總要按神的能力，與我為福音同受苦難。

凡事包容，凡事相信，凡事盼望，凡事忍耐。

原來在基督耶穌裏，受割禮不受割禮全無功效，惟獨使人生發仁愛的信心才有功效。

我們為你們眾人常常感謝神，禱告的時候提到你們，在神－我們的父面前，不住地記念你們因信心所做的工夫，因愛心所受的勞苦，因盼望我們主耶穌基督所存的忍耐。被神所愛的弟兄啊，我知道你們是蒙揀選的；因為我們的福音傳到你們那裏，不獨在乎言語，也在乎權能和聖靈，並充足的信心。正如你們知道，我們在你們那裏，為你們的緣故是怎樣為人。

你們都是光明之子，都是白晝之子。我們不是屬黑夜的，也不是屬幽暗的。

凡我所行的，都是為福音的緣故，為要與人同得這福音的好處。

倒要歡喜；因為你們是與基督一同受苦，使你們在他榮耀顯現的時候，也可以歡喜快樂。

於是千夫長上前拿住他，吩咐用兩條鐵鍊捆鎖；又問他是甚麼人，做的是甚麼事。

也要為我們禱告，求神給我們開傳道的門，能以講基督的奧祕（我為此被捆鎖），

打了許多棍，便將他們下在監裏，囑咐禁卒嚴緊看守。禁卒領了這樣的命，就把他們下在內監裏，兩腳上了木狗。約在半夜，保羅和西拉禱告，唱詩讚美神，眾囚犯也側耳而聽。

我為主被囚的勸你們：既然蒙召，行事為人就當與蒙召的恩相稱。

一面被毀謗，遭患難，成了戲景，叫眾人觀看；一面陪伴那些受這樣苦難的人。因為你們體恤了那些被捆鎖的人，並且你們的家業被人搶去，也甘心忍受，知道自己有更美長存的家業。
