We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers,

For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the Good News of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you always in my prayers,

For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of his glory.For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints,don’t cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him,having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his mightwhich he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places,far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come.He put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things for the assembly,which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Isn’t it even you, before our Lord Jesus at his coming?For you are our glory and our joy.

Therefore, my brothers, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my beloved.

This I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment,so that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ,being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in the spirit, rejoicing and seeing your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, as the enemies of the cross of Christ,

make my joy full by being like- minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;

I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety- nine righteous people who need no repentance.

Even so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting.”
