I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far;

For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence[ is] fulness of joy; at thy right hand[ there are] pleasures for evermore.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am,[ there] ye may be also.

Then we which are alive[ and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

And[ though] after my skin[ worms] destroy this[ body], yet in my flesh shall I see God:Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another;[ though] my reins be consumed within me.

But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received[ it] not[ as] the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,

Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me[ to] glory.Whom have I in heaven[ but thee]? and[ there is] none upon earth[ that] I desire beside thee.My flesh and my heart faileth:[ but] God[ is] the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:

And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies[ are] great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.

Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.
