For me, living is Christ and dying is gain.

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

For me, life finds all its meaning in Christ. Death also has its benefits.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

and we are confident and satisfied to be out of the body and at home with the Lord.

For we know that if our temporary, earthly dwelling is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal dwelling in the heavens, not made with hands.

I am pressured by both. I have the desire to depart and be with Christ— which is far better—

So, we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.

My eager expectation and hope is that I will not be ashamed about anything, but that now as always, with all boldness, Christ will be highly honored in my body, whether by life or by death.

When the Messiah, who is your life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

Who can separate us from the love of Christ? Can affliction or anguish or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?As it is written: Because of You we are being put to death all day long; we are counted as sheep to be slaughtered.No, in all these things we are more than victorious through Him who loved us.For I am persuaded that not even death or life, angels or rulers, things present or things to come, hostile powers,height or depth, or any other created thing will have the power to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!

Then I heard a voice from heaven saying,“ Write: The dead who die in the Lord from now on are blessed.”“ Yes,” says the Spirit,“ let them rest from their labors, for their works follow them!”

We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who have no hope.Since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, in the same way God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.For we say this to you by a revelation from the Lord: We who are still alive at the Lord’s coming will certainly have no advantage over those who have fallen asleep.

The righteous one perishes, and no one takes it to heart; faithful men are swept away, with no one realizing that the righteous one is swept away from the presence of evil.He will enter into peace— they will rest on their beds— everyone who lives uprightly.

But as for me, I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has been crucified to me through the cross, and I to the world.

But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became God-given wisdom for us— our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption,

all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.

whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come— everything is yours,
