彼則不本至誠、徒以基督為號召、而自立門戶、藉欲重貽吾憂於囹圄之中。

The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.

But the others preach about Christ only to get ahead. They preach Christ for the wrong reasons. They think they can stir up trouble for me while I am being held by chains.

Those others do not have pure motives as they preach about Christ. They preach with selfish ambition, not sincerely, intending to make my chains more painful to me.

我為這福音奉派作傳道的，作使徒，作師傅。為這緣故，我也受這些苦難。然而我不以為恥；因為知道我所信的是誰，也深信他能保全我所交付他的，直到那日。

凡事不可結黨，不可貪圖虛浮的榮耀；只要存心謙卑，各人看別人比自己強。

我為你們眾人有這樣的意念，原是應當的；因你們常在我心裏，無論我是在捆鎖之中，是辯明證實福音的時候，你們都與我一同得恩。

我傳福音原沒有可誇的，因為我是不得已的。若不傳福音，我便有禍了。我若甘心做這事，就有賞賜；若不甘心，責任卻已經託付我了。

弟兄們，我不願意你們不知道，我屢次定意往你們那裏去，要在你們中間得些果子，如同在其餘的外邦人中一樣；只是到如今仍有阻隔。無論是希臘人、化外人、聰明人、愚拙人，我都欠他們的債，所以情願盡我的力量，將福音也傳給你們在羅馬的人。我不以福音為恥；這福音本是神的大能，要救一切相信的，先是猶太人，後是希臘人。因為神的義正在這福音上顯明出來；這義是本於信，以至於信。如經上所記：「義人必因信得生。」

我初次申訴，沒有人前來幫助，竟都離棄我；但願這罪不歸與他們。

「諸位父兄請聽，我現在對你們分訴。」

亞基帕對保羅說：「准你為自己辯明。」於是保羅伸手分訴，說：「

我現在被澆奠，我離世的時候到了。那美好的仗我已經打過了，當跑的路我已經跑盡了，所信的道我已經守住了。

我為此奉派作傳道的，作使徒，作外邦人的師傅，教導他們相信，學習真道。我說的是真話，並不是謊言。

所以，你們當立定心意，不要預先思想怎樣分訴；

保羅這樣分訴，非斯都大聲說：「保羅，你癲狂了吧。你的學問太大，反叫你癲狂了！」

反倒看見了主託我傳福音給那未受割禮的人，正如託彼得傳福音給那受割禮的人。（那感動彼得、叫他為受割禮之人作使徒的，也感動我，叫我為外邦人作使徒；）
