然而為了愛心的緣故、我寧可求，我、像我這上了年紀的保羅、如今又做了基督耶穌囚犯的、

但為了愛的緣故，我寧願懇求你。我保羅——像我這樣一個老人，而現在又是基督耶穌的囚犯——

然以愛故寧求爾、如一老邁之保羅、今且為基督耶穌之囚、

然爾我素相愛、與其命爾、不如求爾、蓋我保羅今老矣、而為耶穌基督囚、

然以愛故、寧求爾、蓋我保羅已老矣、今因耶穌基督被囚、

惟為成全愛德、寧以勸勉出之。我葆樂已龍鍾老矣；今且為基督耶穌之故、而遭受禁錮；

yet I prefer to appeal to you on the basis of love. It is as none other than Paul— an old man and now also a prisoner of Christ Jesus—

But we love each other. And I would rather appeal to you on the basis of that love. I, Paul, am an old man. I am now also a prisoner because of Christ Jesus.

yet for love’s sake I prefer to appeal to you— I, Paul, an old man and now a prisoner also for Christ Jesus—

But because of our love, I prefer simply to ask you. Consider this as a request from me— Paul, an old man and now also a prisoner for the sake of Christ Jesus.

I appeal to you, instead, on the basis of love. I, Paul, as an elderly man and now also as a prisoner of Christ Jesus,

yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you— being such a one as Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ—

yet for love’s sake I rather beseech, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now a prisoner also of Christ Jesus:

I appeal to you, instead, on the basis of love. I, Paul, as an elderly man and now also as a prisoner of Christ Jesus,

Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech[ thee], being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

I would rather appeal to you on the basis of love– I, Paul, an old man and even now a prisoner for the sake of Christ Jesus–

yet for love’s sake I rather beg, being such a one as Paul, the aged, but also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,

Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

A gray head is a crown of glory; It is found in the way of righteousness.

Do not cast me away at the time of my old age; Do not abandon me when my strength fails.

Even to your old age I will be the same, And even to your graying years I will carry you! I have done it, and I will bear you; And I will carry you and I will save you.

And even when I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.

Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, To Philemon our beloved brother and fellow worker,and to Apphia our sister, and to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers,because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints;and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for the sake of Christ.For I have had great joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.Therefore, though I have enough confidence in Christ to order you to do what is proper,yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you— since I am such a person as Paul, an old man, and now also a prisoner of Christ Jesus—I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, whom I fathered in my imprisonment,who previously was useless to you, but now is useful both to you and to me.I have sent him back to you in person, that is, sending my very heart,whom I wanted to keep with me, so that in your behalf he might be at my service in my imprisonment for the gospel;but I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that your goodness would not be, in effect, by compulsion, but of your own free will.For perhaps it was for this reason that he was separated from you for a while, that you would have him back forever,no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother, especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.If then you regard me as a partner, accept him as you would me.But if he has wronged you in any way or owes you anything, charge that to my account;I, Paul, have written this with my own hand, I will repay it( not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self as well).Yes, brother, let me benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ.Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, since I know that you will do even more than what I say.At the same time also prepare me a guest room, for I hope that through your prayers I will be given to you.Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you,as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—

Beloved, I urge you as foreigners and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul.

And I urge you all the more to do this, so that I may be restored to you more quickly.

And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain—
