所以，虽然我在基督里大有胆量，可以吩咐你去做合宜的事，但为了爱的缘故，我宁愿恳求你。我保罗——像我这样一个老人，而现在又是基督耶稣的囚犯——

曾经有谁当兵自备粮饷呢？有谁栽种葡萄园不吃园中的果子呢？有谁牧养羊群不喝羊群的奶呢？

你们应当牧养你们中间神的羊群，要按神的意思照顾他们，不是出于勉强，而是出于甘心；也不是出于贪财，而是出于乐意；也不要压制所分配给你们的那些人，而要做羊群的榜样。

所以，我认为必须鼓励这些弟兄先到你们那里去，把你们已经许诺的惠赠提前安排好，这样就表明你们所预备好的就是惠赠，而不是被强取的。

在你掌权的日子，你的子民都甘心奉献自己；你的少年人以圣洁为装饰，如黎明初晓时的甘露归属你。
