“ Behold, I will make you small among the nations; You are greatly despised.

我使你以东在列国中为最小的，被人大大藐视。

看哪，我要使你在列国中为最小，被人大大藐视。

耶和华对以东说：“我要让你成为列国中最弱小的国家，使你饱受藐视。

看哪！我必使你在列国中成为弱小的，你必大受藐视。

我使你－以東在列國中為最小的，被人大大藐視。

看哪，我要使你在列國中為最小，被人大大藐視。

看哪，我要使你在列國中為最小，被人大大藐視。

耶和華對以東說：「我要讓你成為列國中最弱小的國家，使你飽受藐視。

看哪！我必使你在列國中成為弱小的，你必大受藐視。

『看吧，我必使你在列國中成為小的；你必極度被藐視。

耶和華曰、我使爾在列邦中為微小、甚被藐視、

維爾以東、我使之卑微、在列邦中為人所藐視、

主謂以東曰、我使爾在列邦中為至微、令爾極被藐視、

“ See, I will make you small among the nations; you will be utterly despised.

The Lord says to Edom,“ I will make you weak among the nations. They will look down on you.

Behold, I will make you small among the nations; you shall be utterly despised.

The Lord says to Edom,“ I will cut you down to size among the nations; you will be greatly despised.

Look, I will make you insignificant among the nations; you will be deeply despised.

“ Behold, I will make you small among the nations; You shall be greatly despised.

Behold, I have made thee small among the nations: thou art greatly despised.

Look, I will make you insignificant among the nations; you will be deeply despised.

Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.

The LORD says,“ Look! I will make you a weak nation; you will be greatly despised!

Behold, I have made you small among the nations. You are greatly despised.

And Edom shall be a possession, Seir, its enemies, also will be a possession, While Israel performs valiantly.

The Lord of armies has planned it, to defile the pride of all beauty, To despise all the honored of the earth.

Then my enemy will see, And shame will cover her who said to me,“ Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look at her; At that time she will be trampled down Like mud of the streets.

The Lord makes poor and rich; He humbles, He also exalts.He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the garbage heap To seat them with nobles, And He gives them a seat of honor as an inheritance; For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, And He set the world on them.

It will be the lowest of the kingdoms, and it will not raise itself above the nations again. And I will make them small so that they will not rule over the nations.

When they become few and lowly Because of oppression, misery, and sorrow,He pours contempt upon noblemen And makes them wander in a pathless wasteland.

He has done mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their hearts.He has brought down rulers from their thrones, And has exalted those who were humble.

Therefore He knows their deeds, And He overthrows them in the night, And they are crushed.He strikes them like the wicked In a public place,Because they turned aside from following Him, And had no regard for any of His ways,So that they caused the cry of the poor to come to Him, And that He would hear the cry of the afflicted—When He keeps quiet, who can condemn? And when He hides His face, who then can look at Him, That is, regarding both nation and a person?—
