昔猶大人居我聖山、而飲苦杯、列邦之人、亦必群飲、且飲且啜、歸於死亡、

爾曹猶大人在我聖山、已飲苦杯、列邦之人、亦必恆飲、且飲且吸、歸於烏有、若原未有、

Just as you drank on my holy hill, so all the nations will drink continually; they will drink and drink and be as if they had never been.

You Edomites made my holy mountain of Zion impure by drinking and celebrating there. So all the nations will drink from the cup of my anger. And they will keep on drinking from it. They will vanish. It will be as if they had never existed.

For as you have drunk on my holy mountain, so all the nations shall drink continually; they shall drink and swallow, and shall be as though they had never been.

Just as you swallowed up my people on my holy mountain, so you and the surrounding nations will swallow the punishment I pour out on you. Yes, all you nations will drink and stagger and disappear from history.

耶和華如此說：「看哪，既然原不該喝那杯的一定要喝，你能免去懲罰嗎？必不能免，一定要喝！

你們就知道我是耶和華－你們的神，我住在錫安－我的聖山。耶路撒冷必成為聖；陌生人不再從其中經過。

你的主，耶和華，就是為他百姓辯護的神如此說：「看哪，我已從你手中接過那使人東倒西歪的杯，就是我憤怒的杯，你必不再喝。我必將這杯遞在苦待你的人手中。他們曾對你說：『你屈身，任我們踐踏過去吧！』你就以背為地，又如街道，任人走過。

耶和華－以色列的神對我如此說：「你從我手中拿這杯憤怒的酒，給我所差遣你去的各國的百姓喝。他們喝了就要東倒西歪，並要發狂，因我使刀劍臨到他們中間。」

因為時候到了，審判要從神的家開始；若是先從我們開始，那麼，不信從神福音的人將有何等的結局呢？

那時，攻擊亞利伊勒列國的軍隊，與一切攻擊亞利伊勒和它城堡，並帶給它患難的，必如夢，如夜間的異象；又像飢餓的人在夢中吃飯，醒了仍覺飢腸轆轆；或像口渴的人在夢中喝水，醒了仍覺發昏，心裏想喝。攻擊錫安山列國的軍隊也必如此。

都為施行殘暴而來，他們的臉面向東，聚集俘虜，多如塵沙。

「你要對他們說：『萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神如此說：你們要喝，且要喝醉，要嘔吐，且要跌倒，不再起來，都因我使刀劍臨到你們中間。』「他們若不肯從你手中拿這杯來喝，你就要對他們說：『萬軍之耶和華如此說：你們一定要喝！看哪，我既從稱為我名下的城起首施行災禍，你們能免去懲罰嗎？你們必不能免，因為我要命刀劍臨到地上所有的居民。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。』

萬民哪，任憑你們行惡，終必毀滅；遠方的眾人哪，當側耳而聽！任憑你們束腰，終必毀滅；你們束起腰來，終必毀滅。任憑你們籌算甚麼，終必無效；不管你們講定甚麼，總不成立；因為神與我們同在。

耶和華的手裏有杯，杯內滿了調和起沫的酒；他倒出來，地上的惡人都必喝，直到喝盡它的渣滓。但我要宣揚，直到永遠！我要歌頌雅各的神！

但耶和華如此說：「就是勇士所擄掠的，也可以奪回；殘暴者所搶的，也可以得解救。與你相爭的，我必與他相爭，我也要拯救你的兒女。我必使那欺壓你的吃自己的肉，飲自己的血，如喝甜酒喝醉一樣。凡有血肉之軀的都必知道我－耶和華是你的救主，是你的救贖主，是雅各的大能者。」

我許久閉口不言，沉默不語；現在我要像臨產的婦人，大聲喊叫，呼吸急促而喘氣。
