Just as you drank on my holy hill, so all the nations will drink continually; they will drink and drink and be as if they had never been.

You Edomites made my holy mountain of Zion impure by drinking and celebrating there. So all the nations will drink from the cup of my anger. And they will keep on drinking from it. They will vanish. It will be as if they had never existed.

For as you have drunk on my holy mountain, so all the nations shall drink continually; they shall drink and swallow, and shall be as though they had never been.

Just as you swallowed up my people on my holy mountain, so you and the surrounding nations will swallow the punishment I pour out on you. Yes, all you nations will drink and stagger and disappear from history.

耶和華說：「看啊，那些本不該喝這杯憤怒的人尚且要喝，更何況你們呢？你們必難逃懲罰，你們一定要喝這杯憤怒。

「這樣，你們就知道我是你們的上帝耶和華，我住在錫安——我的聖山上。耶路撒冷必成為聖地，外族人必不再侵犯它。

你的主耶和華是為祂子民申辯的上帝，祂說：「看啊，我已從你手中拿走那使人東倒西歪的杯和盛滿我憤怒的碗，你必不再喝。我必把這杯給苦待你的人，他們曾對你說，『趴下，我們好從你身上走過。』你曾把你的背當作地面，當作街道任人踐踏。」

以色列的上帝耶和華對我說：「你從我手中接過這盛滿我烈怒的酒杯，到我差遣你去的國家給他們喝。他們喝了這杯烈怒後必東倒西歪、行為瘋狂，因為我要使戰禍臨到他們。」

因為時候到了，審判要先從上帝的家開始。如果審判要從我們開始，那些不信從上帝福音的人會有怎樣的結局呢？

攻打、圍困耶路撒冷及其堡壘的各國軍隊必如夢幻，如夜間的異象一樣消失。他們好像饑餓的人夢中吃飯，醒來仍然饑餓；像口渴的人夢中喝水，醒來仍然渴得發昏。攻打錫安山的各國軍隊結局都必如此。」

他們殘暴成性，像狂風一樣撲來，抓獲的俘虜多如塵沙。

耶和華對我說：「你要告訴他們，以色列的上帝——萬軍之耶和華說，『你們要喝這杯烈怒，喝得大醉、嘔吐、倒地不起，因為我要使戰爭臨到你們。』如果他們不肯從你手中接過杯來喝，你就告訴他們，萬軍之耶和華說，『你們必須喝！看啊，我已在屬我的城中降下災禍，難道你們可以逃脫懲罰嗎？你們必逃不過懲罰，因為我要使戰爭臨到天下萬民。』這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

列國啊，你們必被打垮、擊潰！遠方的人啊，你們要聽！整裝備戰吧，但你們必被擊垮！整裝備戰吧，但你們必被擊垮！你們設計謀吧，但休想得逞！你們定策略吧，但休想成功！因為上帝與我們同在。

耶和華手中的杯裡盛滿泛著泡沫、精工調製的怒酒。祂倒出怒酒，讓世上的惡人喝得一滴不剩。我要永遠宣揚祂的作為，我要頌讚雅各的上帝。

但耶和華說：「勇士擄去的必被奪回，暴君搶去的必被救出。我必與你的敵人爭戰，拯救你的兒女。我要使那些欺壓你的人吞吃自己的肉，喝自己的血喝得酩酊大醉，好像喝酒一樣。那時候，世人都必知道我耶和華是你的救主，是你的救贖主，是雅各的大能者。」

「我已沉默多時，我克制不語，現在我要發出急促的呐喊，像分娩的婦人。
