Just as you drank on my holy hill, so all the nations will drink continually; they will drink and drink and be as if they had never been.

You Edomites made my holy mountain of Zion impure by drinking and celebrating there. So all the nations will drink from the cup of my anger. And they will keep on drinking from it. They will vanish. It will be as if they had never existed.

For as you have drunk on my holy mountain, so all the nations shall drink continually; they shall drink and swallow, and shall be as though they had never been.

Just as you swallowed up my people on my holy mountain, so you and the surrounding nations will swallow the punishment I pour out on you. Yes, all you nations will drink and stagger and disappear from history.

耶和华说：“看啊，那些本不该喝这杯愤怒的人尚且要喝，更何况你们呢？你们必难逃惩罚，你们一定要喝这杯愤怒。

“这样，你们就知道我是你们的上帝耶和华，我住在锡安——我的圣山上。耶路撒冷必成为圣地，外族人必不再侵犯它。

你的主耶和华是为祂子民申辩的上帝，祂说：“看啊，我已从你手中拿走那使人东倒西歪的杯和盛满我愤怒的碗，你必不再喝。我必把这杯给苦待你的人，他们曾对你说，‘趴下，我们好从你身上走过。’你曾把你的背当作地面，当作街道任人践踏。”

以色列的上帝耶和华对我说：“你从我手中接过这盛满我烈怒的酒杯，到我差遣你去的国家给他们喝。他们喝了这杯烈怒后必东倒西歪、行为疯狂，因为我要使战祸临到他们。”

因为时候到了，审判要先从上帝的家开始。如果审判要从我们开始，那些不信从上帝福音的人会有怎样的结局呢？

攻打、围困耶路撒冷及其堡垒的各国军队必如梦幻，如夜间的异象一样消失。他们好像饥饿的人梦中吃饭，醒来仍然饥饿；像口渴的人梦中喝水，醒来仍然渴得发昏。攻打锡安山的各国军队结局都必如此。”

他们残暴成性，像狂风一样扑来，抓获的俘虏多如尘沙。

耶和华对我说：“你要告诉他们，以色列的上帝——万军之耶和华说，‘你们要喝这杯烈怒，喝得大醉、呕吐、倒地不起，因为我要使战争临到你们。’如果他们不肯从你手中接过杯来喝，你就告诉他们，万军之耶和华说，‘你们必须喝！看啊，我已在属我的城中降下灾祸，难道你们可以逃脱惩罚吗？你们必逃不过惩罚，因为我要使战争临到天下万民。’这是万军之耶和华说的。

列国啊，你们必被打垮、击溃！远方的人啊，你们要听！整装备战吧，但你们必被击垮！整装备战吧，但你们必被击垮！你们设计谋吧，但休想得逞！你们定策略吧，但休想成功！因为上帝与我们同在。

耶和华手中的杯里盛满泛着泡沫、精工调制的怒酒。祂倒出怒酒，让世上的恶人喝得一滴不剩。我要永远宣扬祂的作为，我要颂赞雅各的上帝。

但耶和华说：“勇士掳去的必被夺回，暴君抢去的必被救出。我必与你的敌人争战，拯救你的儿女。我要使那些欺压你的人吞吃自己的肉，喝自己的血喝得酩酊大醉，好像喝酒一样。那时候，世人都必知道我耶和华是你的救主，是你的救赎主，是雅各的大能者。”

“我已沉默多时，我克制不语，现在我要发出急促的呐喊，像分娩的妇人。
