And those men said to him,“ We are ceremonially defiled by the dead body of a man; why are we kept back from offering the LORD’s offering at its appointed time among the Israelites?”

對他們說：『我們是因人的屍體而不潔淨的；為甚麼我們被看為例外、不得在以色列人中、在制定時間內、獻永恆主應得的供物呢？』

曰、吾儕緣尸蒙污、屆期奚禁我與以色列族、同獻禮物於耶和華、

曰、吾儕雖捫尸自玷、屆期奚禁我與以色列族同獻禮物、以事耶和華。

我近屍蒙不潔、不得與以色列人同於所定之日期、於主獻當獻之祭、若何而可、

and said to Moses,“ We have become unclean because of a dead body, but why should we be kept from presenting the Lord’s offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?”

They said to Moses,“ We went near a dead body. So we aren’t‘ clean.’ But why should we be kept from bringing the Lord’ s offering at the appointed time? Why shouldn’t we bring it along with the other Israelites?”

And those men said to him,“ We are unclean through touching a dead body. Why are we kept from bringing the Lord’s offering at its appointed time among the people of Israel?”

and said,“ We have become ceremonially unclean by touching a dead body. But why should we be prevented from presenting the Lord’s offering at the proper time with the rest of the Israelites?”

and said to him,“ We are unclean because of a human corpse. Why should we be excluded from presenting the LORD’s offering at its appointed time with the other Israelites?”

Those men said to him,“ Though we are unclean because of a dead person, why are we kept from presenting the offering of the Lord at its appointed time among the sons of Israel?”

And those men said to him,“ We became defiled by a human corpse. Why are we kept from presenting the offering of the Lord at its appointed time among the children of Israel?”

and those men said unto him, We are unclean by reason of the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer the oblation of Jehovah in its appointed season among the children of Israel?

and said to him,“ We are unclean because of a human corpse. Why should we be excluded from presenting the Lord’s offering at its appointed time with the other Israelites?”

And those men said unto him, We[ are] defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel?

Those men said to him,“ We are unclean because of the dead body of a man. Why are we kept back, that we may not offer the offering of Yahweh in its appointed season among the children of Israel?”

then you will say,‘ It is the sacrifice of the LORD’s Passover, when he passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt, when he struck Egypt and delivered our households.’” The people bowed down low to the ground,

You must sacrifice the Passover animal( from the flock or the herd) to the LORD your God in the place where he chooses to locate his name.

Clean out the old yeast so that you may be a new batch of dough– you are, in fact, without yeast. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.So then, let us celebrate the festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of vice and evil, but with the bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth.

Because many in the assembly had not consecrated themselves, the Levites slaughtered the Passover lambs of all who were ceremonially unclean and could not consecrate their sacrifice to the LORD.The majority of the many people from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun were ceremonially unclean, yet they ate the Passover in violation of what is prescribed in the law. For Hezekiah prayed for them, saying:“ May the LORD, who is good, forgiveeveryone who has determined to follow God, the LORD God of his ancestors, even if he is not ceremonially clean according to the standards of the temple.”

“ The Israelites are to observe the Passover at its appointed time.
