But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean on account of a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day

俱至會幕門、立於摩西與祭司以利亞撒與諸牧伯及會眾前、曰、

凡在野或捫見殺者與自死者之屍、或捫人骨、或捫塚墓、必不潔七日、

凡捫人屍者、必不潔七日、

爾命以色列人、使凡生癩者、患白濁者、捫屍而蒙不潔者、悉出營外、

今爾當聽我言、我有一策、天主必祐爾、爾可為民以其事陳於天主前、

必一潔者、取牛膝草置於水中、灑於幕與諸器皿、及幕內之諸人、又灑於捫屍骨、或捫見殺者與自死者之屍、或捫塚墓者、

眾曳耶穌、自該亞法處至公堂、時甫平旦、眾不入公堂、免受不潔、蓋欲食逾越節羔也、

彼即隨時鞫民、凡事之艱鉅者、陳於摩西前、事之小者、則自鞫之、

此以色列女之子、謗瀆主名、加以咒詛、人曳至摩西前、其母名示羅密、乃但支派底伯利之女、

許願離俗事主之日內、毋近屍側、雖父母兄弟姊妹死、亦毋近而蒙不潔、蓋留髮以事其天主、

毋近死者、即父母之屍、亦毋近而蒙不潔、

摩西以其事呈於主前、

遇之者解之至摩西亞倫與會眾前、
