有數人因近屍蒙不潔、不能於是日守逾越節、故當日至摩西亞倫前曰、

But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean on account of a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day

But some of them couldn’t celebrate the Passover Feast on that day. That’s because they weren’t“ clean.” They had gone near a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day.

站在会幕门口对摩西、以利亚撒祭司、众首领和全体会众说：

摩西对岳父说：“他们是来求问上帝的，

人若在野外碰过被杀或自然死亡之人的尸体，或碰过死人的骸骨或坟墓，就七天不洁净。

“碰过尸体的人，七天不洁净。

“你吩咐以色列人把所有患麻风病、漏症和因碰过死尸而不洁净的人，

你要听我的劝告，愿上帝与你同在。你要做百姓的代表，把案件奏明上帝，

然后由洁净的人拿牛膝草蘸这水洒在帐篷及里面所有的人和器具上，也要洒在碰过骸骨、坟墓、被杀者尸体或自然死亡者尸体的人身上。

黎明的时候，众人从该亚法那里把耶稣押往总督府，他们自己却没有进去，因为怕沾染污秽，不能吃逾越节的晚餐。

他们负责随时审理百姓的事，遇到难断的案件就呈到摩西那里，自己则审理普通的事。

他竟说咒诅的话，亵渎了上帝的名，他们把他带到摩西那里。原来他母亲叫示罗密，是但支派示伯利的女儿。

在献给耶和华期间，不可挨近死尸，即使父母或是兄弟姊妹死了，也不可挨近，以免沾染不洁，因为他头上有将自己奉献给上帝的记号。

他不可接近死者，即使是父母也不可，以免玷污自己。

摩西就把她们的请求呈到耶和华面前。

他们就把捡柴的人带到摩西、亚伦和全体会众那里，
