but they are to do it on the fourteenth day of the second month at twilight. They are to eat the lamb, together with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

They must celebrate it on the 14th day of the second month. They must do so when the sun goes down. They must eat the lamb together with bread made without yeast. They must eat it with bitter plants.

In the second month on the fourteenth day at twilight they shall keep it. They shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

They must offer the Passover sacrifice one month later, at twilight on the fourteenth day of the second month. They must eat the Passover lamb at that time with bitter salad greens and bread made without yeast.

Such people are to observe it in the second month, on the fourteenth day at twilight. They are to eat the animal with unleavened bread and bitter herbs;

因為王和眾首領，並耶路撒冷全會眾已經商議，要在二月內守逾越節。正月間他們不能守；因為自潔的祭司尚不敷用，百姓也沒有聚集在耶路撒冷；王與全會眾都以這事為善。於是定了命令，傳遍以色列，從別是巴直到但，使他們都來，在耶路撒冷向耶和華－以色列的神守逾越節；因為照所寫的例，守這節的不多了。驛卒就把王和眾首領的信，遵着王命傳遍以色列和猶大。信內說：「以色列人哪，你們當轉向耶和華－亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的神，好叫他轉向你們這脫離亞述王手的餘民。你們不要效法你們列祖和你們的弟兄；他們干犯耶和華－他們列祖的神，以致耶和華丟棄他們，使他們敗亡，正如你們所見的。現在不要像你們列祖硬着頸項，只要歸順耶和華，進入他的聖所，就是永遠成聖的居所；又要事奉耶和華－你們的神，好使他的烈怒轉離你們。你們若轉向耶和華，你們的弟兄和兒女必在擄掠他們的人面前蒙憐恤，得以歸回這地，因為耶和華－你們的神有恩典、施憐憫。你們若轉向他，他必不轉臉不顧你們。」驛卒就由這城跑到那城，傳遍了以法蓮、瑪拿西，直到西布倫。那裏的人卻戲笑他們，譏誚他們。然而亞設、瑪拿西、西布倫中也有人自卑，來到耶路撒冷。神也感動猶大人，使他們一心遵行王與眾首領憑耶和華之言所發的命令。二月，有許多人在耶路撒冷聚集，成為大會，要守除酵節。他們起來，把耶路撒冷的祭壇和燒香的壇盡都除去，拋在汲淪溪中。二月十四日，宰了逾越節的羊羔。祭司與利未人覺得慚愧，就潔淨自己，把燔祭奉到耶和華殿中，

「你們要以本月為正月，為一年之首。你們吩咐以色列全會眾說：本月初十日，各人要按着父家取羊羔，一家一隻。若是一家的人太少，吃不了一隻羊羔，本人就要和他隔壁的鄰舍共取一隻。你們預備羊羔，要按着人數和飯量計算。要無殘疾、一歲的公羊羔，你們或從綿羊裏取，或從山羊裏取，都可以。要留到本月十四日，在黃昏的時候，以色列全會眾把羊羔宰了。各家要取點血，塗在吃羊羔的房屋左右的門框上和門楣上。當夜要吃羊羔的肉；用火烤了，與無酵餅和苦菜同吃。不可吃生的，斷不可吃水煮的，要帶着頭、腿、五臟，用火烤了吃。不可剩下一點留到早晨；若留到早晨，要用火燒了。你們吃羊羔當腰間束帶，腳上穿鞋，手中拿杖，趕緊地吃；這是耶和華的逾越節。因為那夜我要巡行埃及地，把埃及地一切頭生的，無論是人是牲畜，都擊殺了，又要敗壞埃及一切的神。我是耶和華。這血要在你們所住的房屋上作記號；我一見這血，就越過你們去。我擊殺埃及地頭生的時候，災殃必不臨到你們身上滅你們。」「你們要記念這日，守為耶和華的節，作為你們世世代代永遠的定例。

耶和華對摩西、亞倫說：「逾越節的例是這樣：外邦人都不可吃這羊羔。但各人用銀子買的奴僕，既受了割禮就可以吃。寄居的和雇工人都不可吃。應當在一個房子裏吃；不可把一點肉從房子裏帶到外頭去。羊羔的骨頭一根也不可折斷。以色列全會眾都要守這禮。若有外人寄居在你們中間，願向耶和華守逾越節，他所有的男子務要受割禮，然後才容他前來遵守，他也就像本地人一樣；但未受割禮的，都不可吃這羊羔。本地人和寄居在你們中間的外人同歸一例。」

這些事成了，為要應驗經上的話說：「他的骨頭一根也不可折斷。」

你吃這祭牲，不可吃有酵的餅；七日之內要吃無酵餅，就是困苦餅－你本是急忙出了埃及地－要叫你一生一世記念你從埃及地出來的日子。

就是本月十四日黃昏的時候，你們要在所定的日期守這節，要按這節的律例典章而守。」
