To purify them, do this: Sprinkle the water of cleansing on them; then have them shave their whole bodies and wash their clothes. And so they will purify themselves.

Here is how to make them pure. Sprinkle the special water on them. Then have them shave their whole bodies. Also have them wash their clothes. That is how they will make themselves pure.

Thus you shall do to them to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of purification upon them, and let them go with a razor over all their body, and wash their clothes and cleanse themselves.

Do this by sprinkling them with the water of purification, and have them shave their entire body and wash their clothing. Then they will be ceremonially clean.

耶路撒冷啊，要洗去你內心的邪惡，這樣你才能得救。你心懷惡念要到何時呢？

「虛偽的律法教師和法利賽人啊，你們有禍了！你們洗淨杯盤的外面，裡頭卻盛滿了貪婪和放縱。瞎眼的法利賽人啊！要先洗淨杯盤的裡面，好讓外面也乾淨。

要拿些除罪用的紅母牛灰，放在器皿裡，倒上清水，然後由潔淨的人拿牛膝草蘸這水灑在帳篷及裡面所有的人和器具上，也要灑在碰過骸骨、墳墓、被殺者屍體或自然死亡者屍體的人身上。要由潔淨的人在第三天和第七天把水灑在不潔淨的人身上。到第七天，接受潔淨禮的人要洗衣、沐浴，等到傍晚才能潔淨。

祂必洗淨許多國家，君王必因祂而閉口無言。因為他們將看見未曾聽過的事，明白聞所未聞的事。

祭司要用鳥血在他身上灑七次，宣佈他是潔淨的，然後放走那隻活鳥，讓牠飛向田野。他要洗淨衣服，剃去所有毛髮，沐浴之後便潔淨了，可以回到營內，但要住在自己的帳篷外七天。第七天，他要再次剃掉頭髮、鬍鬚和眉毛等各處毛髮，並洗衣、沐浴，之後便潔淨了。

耶和華對摩西說：「你現在回到他們那裡，吩咐他們今天和明天要潔淨自己，洗淨衣服，

因為這些不過是關於飲食和各樣潔淨禮儀的外在規條，等新秩序的時代一到，便不再有效了。

我回答說：「先生，你知道答案。」他便說：「這些都是經過大災難的人，他們用羔羊的血將衣裳洗得純淨潔白。

之後，祭司要洗衣沐浴，才能回營，但要等到傍晚才能潔淨。負責燒牛的人也要洗衣、沐浴，並且要等到傍晚才能潔淨。要由潔淨的人把紅母牛灰收起來，放在營外潔淨的地方，用於給以色列會眾製作除穢水，作除罪之用。收起牛灰的人也要洗淨衣服，等到傍晚才能潔淨。以色列人和寄居的外族人都要永遠遵行這定例。

如果把山羊血、公牛血和母牛犢的灰灑在污穢的人身上，就可以使他們聖潔，身體得到潔淨，

於是，雅各吩咐家人和所有的隨從：「你們要除掉你們當中的外族神像，沐浴更衣，潔淨自己。

這水代表的洗禮現在藉著耶穌基督的復活也拯救了你們。這洗禮要表明的不是除掉肉體的污穢，而是求在上帝面前有無愧的良心。
