When Moses entered the tent of meeting to speak with the Lord, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the atonement cover on the ark of the covenant law. In this way the Lord spoke to him.

Moses entered the tent of meeting. He wanted to speak with the Lord. There Moses heard the Lord talking to him. The Lord’ s voice was speaking to him from between the two cherubim. The cherubim were over the place where sin is paid for. It was the cover on the ark where the tablets of the covenant law were kept. In this way the Lord spoke to Moses.

And when Moses went into the tent of meeting to speak with the Lord, he heard the voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim; and it spoke to him.

Whenever Moses went into the Tabernacle to speak with the Lord, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the Ark’s cover— the place of atonement— that rests on the Ark of the Covenant. The Lord spoke to him from there.

Hear us, Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock. You who sit enthroned between the cherubim, shine forth (niv)

As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the Lord spoke with Moses.Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to their tent.The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent. (niv)

With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?” (niv)

The Lord reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake. (niv)

And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover.Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends.The cherubim are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the cover.Place the cover on top of the ark and put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law that I will give you.There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites. (niv)

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (niv)

It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things. (niv)

The Lord spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting in the Desert of Sinai on the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. He said: (niv)

For the inner sanctuary he made a pair of cherubim out of olive wood, each ten cubits high. (niv)

So the people sent men to Shiloh, and they brought back the ark of the covenant of the Lord Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim. And Eli’s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God. (niv)

The Lord called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting. He said, (niv)
