這話是信實的。我希望你強調這些事，好讓那些信了神的人專心投入美好的工作；這些事對人是好事，是有益處的。

他賜下一些人做使徒，一些人做先知傳道，一些人做傳福音者，一些人做牧人或教師，為了要裝備聖徒去做服事的工作，以建立基督的身體；直到我們大家達到在信仰上以及對神兒子真正認識上的合一，達到成熟人的地步，達到基督那豐盛完美的身量。

「看哪，我的僕人——我所扶持、我所揀選、我心所喜悅的！我已經把我的靈賜給他，他必給列國帶來公正。他不喧嚷，不揚聲，也不使人在街上聽見他的聲音。壓傷的蘆葦，他不折斷；將殘的燈火，他不熄滅。他憑著信實帶來公正。他不衰殘，也不被壓服，直到他在地上設立公正；眾海島都期盼他的律法。」神耶和華創造諸天，展開穹蒼，鋪張地和地所出的一切，又把氣息賜給地上的眾人，把靈賜給行在其中的人——神耶和華如此說：「我耶和華以公義召喚了你，我必緊拉著你的手，守護你。我要立你作萬民之約，作列國之光，為要開瞎眼之人的眼，領被囚的出監獄，領坐在黑暗中的出牢房。

眾海島啊，要聽我的話！遠方的眾民哪，要留心聽！我在母腹中，耶和華就召喚了我；我在母腹中，他就提了我的名。他使我的口如銳利的刀劍，把我掩藏在他手的蔭庇下；他又使我成為磨利的箭矢，把我隱藏在他的箭袋中。他對我說：「你是我的僕人以色列，我要藉著你顯出自己的榮耀。」但我說：「我辛勞是徒然的，我耗盡了力量是虛無虛空的；然而，我應得的公正在耶和華那裡，我的酬報在我的神那裡。」耶和華從我在母腹中時就塑造我作他的僕人，為要使雅各回轉歸向他，使以色列聚集到他那裡——我在耶和華眼中看為尊貴，我的神是我的力量——現在耶和華說：「你作為我的僕人，使雅各眾支派復興、使以色列中蒙保守的人回歸，只是小事！我還要使你作列國之光，使我的救恩達到地極。」以色列的救贖主，以色列的聖者耶和華，對那被人藐視、被本國憎惡、被管轄者奴役的，如此說：「君王們看見了就起立，首領們看見了就下拜；這都是因著耶和華——他是信實的，是以色列的聖者，是揀選你的那一位。」耶和華如此說：「在悅納的時候，我回應了你；在拯救的日子，我幫助了你。我要守護你，立你作萬民之約，為要復興這地，使荒涼的繼業之地得以傳承。
