摩西拿膏油抹聖幕和聖幕裡的一切物件，使它們聖潔；再用膏油在祭壇上灑七次，又抹祭壇和祭壇上的器具、洗濯盆和盆座，使它們聖潔。

以上是膏抹祭壇時以色列各首領為獻壇之禮所獻的供物，共計有銀盤、銀碗和金碟子各十二個，

瞎眼的人啊！供物重要呢？還是使供物神聖的祭壇重要呢？

你要用膏油抹聖幕和裡面所有的器具，使它們分別出來，成為聖潔之物。要抹燔祭壇和壇上所有器具，使燔祭壇分別出來，成為至聖之物。

第二年一月一日，聖幕支起來了。摩西支起聖幕，裝上帶凹槽的底座，豎起木板，插上橫閂，立起柱子，在聖幕上面搭起罩棚，鋪上頂蓋，都遵照耶和華的吩咐。

那天，因為耶和華殿前的銅壇太小，容不下燔祭、素祭和平安祭祭牲的脂肪，所羅門王就把殿前院子中間分別出來作聖潔之地，在那裡獻上燔祭、素祭和平安祭祭牲的脂肪。

「以色列人中的長子和頭生的牲畜都屬於我，因此要把他們分別出來，使他們聖潔，歸給我。」

作平安祭的牲畜共有公牛二十四頭，公綿羊、公山羊、一歲的公羊羔各六十隻。以上是在膏抹祭壇後所收到的供物。

「要以聖所的秤為準，用上等的香料，就是沒藥液六公斤、香肉桂和菖蒲各三公斤、肉桂皮六公斤，再加上橄欖油四升，按著調製香料的方法製作聖膏油。要用這些膏油來抹會幕、約櫃、桌子和桌上所有的器具、燈臺和燈臺上的器具、香壇、燔祭壇和壇上所有的器具、洗濯盆和盆座。你要使這一切聖潔，成為至聖之物。凡碰到它們的都會聖潔。「你也要用這種油來膏亞倫父子們，使他們分別出來，做聖潔的祭司事奉我。

第八天，摩西召來亞倫父子們和以色列的眾長老。他對亞倫說：「你要在耶和華面前獻上一頭公牛犢作贖罪祭、一隻公綿羊作燔祭，這些祭牲都要毫無殘疾。然後，你要告訴以色列人，『你們要取一隻公山羊作贖罪祭、毫無殘疾的一歲牛犢和羊羔各一隻作燔祭、公牛和公綿羊各一隻作平安祭，連同調油的素祭一起獻給耶和華，因為今天耶和華要向你們顯現。』」於是，以色列人遵照摩西的吩咐，把祭物帶到會幕前。全體會眾都聚集到那裡，站在耶和華面前。摩西對他們說：「耶和華吩咐你們這樣做，是為了向你們顯出祂的榮耀。」隨後，摩西對亞倫說：「你要到壇前來，獻上你的贖罪祭和燔祭，為自己和民眾贖罪。也要按照耶和華的吩咐，為百姓獻上他們的祭物，為他們贖罪。」於是，亞倫走到壇前，宰殺為他作贖罪祭的牛犢。他兒子們把牛犢的血遞給他，他用手指蘸血抹在壇角上，將剩下的血倒在壇腳旁。他照耶和華對摩西的吩咐，在壇上焚燒牛犢的脂肪、腎臟和肝葉，把皮和肉帶到營外焚燒。亞倫宰了燔祭祭牲，他兒子們把祭牲的血遞給他灑在祭壇四周。他們將祭牲切成塊，連頭顱一起交給亞倫獻在壇上焚燒。亞倫洗淨祭牲的內臟和腿，放在祭壇的燔祭上焚燒。隨後，亞倫為民眾獻祭。他牽來那隻為民眾作贖罪祭的公山羊，宰殺後，像剛才為自己獻贖罪祭一樣為他們獻上贖罪祭。他又牽來燔祭祭牲，依照條例獻上燔祭。除了早晨的燔祭，亞倫又取來素祭，從中拿了一把獻在壇上焚燒。然後，他宰了公牛和公綿羊，為民眾獻平安祭。他兒子們把祭牲的血遞給他，他把血灑在祭壇四周。他們把公牛和公綿羊的脂肪，即肥尾巴、遮蓋內臟的脂肪、腎臟和肝葉，放在祭牲的胸上，然後亞倫把那些脂肪放在壇上焚燒，將胸肉和右腿肉作為搖祭在耶和華面前搖一搖，都遵照摩西的吩咐。亞倫獻完贖罪祭、燔祭和平安祭，舉手為民眾祝福後，走下祭壇。之後，摩西和亞倫走進會幕，又出來為民眾祝福。這時，耶和華的榮耀向所有民眾顯現。有火從耶和華那裡降下來，燒盡祭壇上的燔祭和脂肪。民眾看見這景象，都歡呼起來，俯伏在地。

上帝賜福給第七天，將其定為聖日，因為祂在這一天歇了祂一切的創造之工。
