‘ All the days of his life as a Nazirite for the Lord he shall not come up to a dead person.

自為區別、歸於耶和華時、毋近尸側、

奉我之時、毋近尸側。

許願離俗事主之日內、毋近屍側、

“‘ Throughout the period of their dedication to the Lord, the Nazirite must not go near a dead body.

“‘ And they must not go near a dead body during that whole time.

“ All the days that he separates himself to the Lord he shall not go near a dead body.

And they must not go near a dead body during the entire period of their vow to the Lord.

He must not go near a dead body during the time he consecrates himself to the LORD.

All the days that he separates himself to the Lord he shall not go near a dead body.

All the days that he separateth himself unto Jehovah he shall not come near to a dead body.

He must not go near a dead body during the time he consecrates himself to the Lord.

All the days that he separateth[ himself] unto the LORD he shall come at no dead body.

“‘ All the days that he separates himself to the LORD he must not contact a dead body.

“‘ All the days that he separates himself to Yahweh he shall not go near a dead body.

You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead, nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord.

For this is what the Lord says:“ Do not enter a house of mourning, or go to mourn or to console them; for I have withdrawn My peace from this people,” declares the Lord,“ and My favor and compassion.Both great people and small will die in this land; they will not be buried, people will not mourn for them, nor will anyone make cuts on himself or have his head shaved for them.

Therefore from now on we recognize no one by the flesh; even though we have known Christ by the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.

nor shall he approach any dead person, nor defile himself even for his father or his mother;

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them:‘ No one shall defile himself for a dead person among his people,except for his relatives who are nearest to him, his mother, his father, his son, his daughter, and his brother,also for his virgin sister who is near to him because she has not had a husband; for her, he may defile himself.

And another of the disciples said to Him,“ Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”But Jesus* said to him,“ Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

And He said to another,“ Follow Me.” But he said,“ Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.”But He said to him,“ Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and proclaim everywhere the kingdom of God.”

‘ The one who touches the dead body of any person will also be unclean for seven days.That one shall purify himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day, and then he will be clean; but if he does not purify himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not be clean.Anyone who touches a dead body, the body of a person who has died, and does not purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of the Lord; and that person shall be cut off from Israel. Since the water for impurity was not sprinkled on him, he will be unclean; his uncleanness is still on him.‘ This is the law when a person dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent and everyone who is in the tent will be unclean for seven days.And every open container, which has no cover tied down on it, will be unclean.Also, anyone who in the open field touches one who has been killed with a sword or one who has died naturally, or touches a human bone or a grave, will be unclean for seven days.Then for the unclean person they shall take some of the ashes of the burnt purification from sin and running water shall be added to them in a container.And a clean person shall take hyssop and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it on the tent, on all the furnishings, on the persons who were there, and on the one who touched the bone or the one who was killed or the one who died naturally, or the grave.Then the clean person shall sprinkle on the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day; and on the seventh day he shall purify him, and he shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and will be clean by evening.‘ But the person who is unclean and does not purify himself, that person shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he has defiled the sanctuary of the Lord; the water for impurity has not been sprinkled on him, so he is unclean.So it shall be a permanent statute for them. And the one who sprinkles the water for impurity shall wash his clothes, and the one who touches the water for impurity will be unclean until evening.Furthermore, anything that the unclean person touches will be unclean; and the person who touches it will be unclean until evening.’ ”

“ Son of man, behold, I am about to take from you what is precious to your eyes with a fatal blow; but you shall not mourn and you shall not weep, and your tears shall not come.Groan silently; do no mourning for the dead. Bind on your turban and put your sandals on your feet, and do not cover your mustache, and do not eat the bread of other people.”So I spoke to the people in the morning, and in the evening my wife died. And in the morning I did as I was commanded.
