葡萄树所结的都不可吃，清酒浓酒都不可喝，一切不洁之物也不可吃。凡我所吩咐的，她都当遵守。”

“你们却给拿细耳人酒喝，嘱咐先知说：‘不要说预言。’

不要醉酒，酒能使人放荡；乃要被圣灵充满。

因你胃口不清，屡次患病，再不要照常喝水，可以稍微用点酒。

各样的恶事要禁戒不做。

利慕伊勒啊，君王喝酒，君王喝酒不相宜；王子说浓酒在那里也不相宜；恐怕喝了就忘记律例，颠倒一切困苦人的是非。

他们却说：“我们不喝酒；因为我们先祖利甲的儿子约拿达曾吩咐我们说：‘你们与你们的子孙永不可喝酒，也不可盖房、撒种、栽种葡萄园，但一生的年日要住帐棚，使你们的日子在寄居之地得以延长。’凡我们先祖利甲的儿子约拿达所吩咐我们的话，我们都听从了。我们和我们的妻子儿女一生的年日都不喝酒，

“你们要谨慎，恐怕因贪食、醉酒，并今生的思虑累住你们的心，那日子就如同网罗忽然临到你们；

施洗的约翰来，不吃饼，不喝酒，你们说他是被鬼附着的。人子来，也吃也喝，你们说他是贪食好酒的人，是税吏和罪人的朋友。
