『若有人在永恆主的聖物上不忠實，誤犯了罪，他就要照你所估定的銀兩、按聖所的舍客勒、將他的解罪責祭牲、就是羊羣中一隻完全沒有殘疾的公綿羊、帶到永恆主面前為解罪責祭，

解罪祭怎樣，解罪責祭也怎樣：兩個祭只有一樣法規：用這祭物行除罪禮的祭司、可得這祭物。

我的罪我讓你知道，我的罪孽我沒有掩蓋着；我說：『我要向永恆主承認我的過犯』；那麼你就赦免我罪的孽債。（細拉）

他若這樣犯了罪而覺得有罪責，那麼他就要歸還他所搶奪的贓物、或因欺壓而得的勒索物、或人所存放在他手裏的存放物、或是他所撿着人失掉的東西，或是任何假意起誓所牽涉到的東西，他都要按原數償還，另外加上五分之一，在獻解罪責祭的日子交給物主。他要把他的解罪責祭牲、就是羊羣中一隻完全沒有殘疾的公綿羊、牽到永恆主面前、交給祭司、照你估定的價做解罪責祭。祭司要在永恆主面前這樣為他行消除禮，他無論行了這些事的哪一件、因而有罪責，都必蒙赦免。』

我們若說「我們沒有罪」，便是欺騙自己，真實就不在我們裏面了。我們若認我們的罪，上帝是可信可靠，是公義的，他必赦免我們的罪，潔淨我們一切的不義。我們若說「我們沒有犯過罪」，便是以上帝為撒謊者，他的道就不在我們裏面了。
