If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse.

Suppose she has made herself“ unclean.” She has not been faithful to her husband. And she has drunk the water that brings a curse. Then it will go into her body. It will cause her to suffer bitterly. It will make her body unable to have children. She will become a curse.

And when he has made her drink the water, then, if she has defiled herself and has broken faith with her husband, the water that brings the curse shall enter into her and cause bitter pain, and her womb shall swell, and her thigh shall fall away, and the woman shall become a curse among her people.

If she has defiled herself by being unfaithful to her husband, the water that brings on the curse will cause bitter suffering. Her abdomen will swell and her womb will shrink, and her name will become a curse among her people.

我必用刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫追趕他們，使地上萬國因他們而驚駭；在我趕他們到的各國，令人詛咒、驚駭、嗤笑、羞辱。

猶大家和以色列家啊，你們從前在列國中怎樣成為可詛咒的；照樣，我要拯救你們，使你們得福。不要懼怕，你們的手要堅強。

我必使那定意進入埃及地、在那裏寄居的，就是倖存的猶大人，盡都滅絕。他們必在埃及地仆倒，因刀劍饑荒滅絕，從最小的到最大的都必遭刀劍饑荒而死，甚至受辱罵、驚駭、詛咒、羞辱。

在巴比倫所有被擄的猶大人必藉這二人賭咒說：願耶和華使你像巴比倫王在火中焚燒的西底家和亞哈一樣。

你們必留下自己的名給我選民指着賭咒：主耶和華必殺你們，另起別名稱呼他的僕人。

你在耶和華趕你到的萬民中，要令人驚駭，成為笑柄，被人譏誚。

我必使他們在地上萬國中成為恐懼，成為災禍，在我趕逐他們到的各處成為凌辱、笑柄、譏笑、詛咒的對象。

我發現有一種婦人比死還苦毒：她本身是陷阱，她的心是羅網，手是鎖鏈。凡蒙神喜愛的人必能躲開她；有罪的人卻被她纏住了。

求你待他們，如待米甸，如在基順河待西西拉和耶賓一樣。他們在隱‧多珥滅亡，成了地上的糞土。求你使他們的貴族像俄立和西伊伯，使他們的王子都像西巴和撒慕拿。

但你背着丈夫，玷污自己，跟丈夫以外的人同寢。』

如果我們領受真理的知識以後仍故意犯罪，就不再有贖罪的祭物，惟有戰戰兢兢等候審判和那將吞滅眾敵人的烈火了。任何人干犯摩西的律法，憑兩個或三個證人，尚且必須處死，不得寬赦，更何況踐踏神兒子的人，他們將那使他成聖之約的血當作不潔淨，又褻慢施恩的聖靈的人，你們想，他不該受更嚴厲的懲罰嗎？因為我們知道誰說：「伸冤在我，我必報應。」又說：「主要審判他的百姓。」

那麼，你們現在所看為羞恥的事，當時有甚麼果子呢？那些事的結局就是死。

對滅亡的人，這是死而又死的氣味；對得救的人，這是生而又生的氣味。這些事誰能當得起呢？

尤其那些隨從肉體、放縱污穢的情慾、藐視主的權威的人更是如此。他們膽大任性，無懼地毀謗眾尊榮者；

後來卻苦似茵蔯，銳利如兩刃的劍。她的腳墜落死亡，她的腳步踏入陰間，她無法找到生命的道路，她的路變遷不定，自己卻不知道。孩子們，現在要聽從我，不可離棄我口中的言語。你所行的道要遠離她，不可靠近她家的門口，免得將你的尊榮給別人，將你的歲月給殘忍的人；免得陌生人滿得你的財富，你勞苦所得的歸入外邦人的家。在你人生終結，你皮肉和身體衰殘時，你必唉聲嘆氣，
