If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse.

Suppose she has made herself“ unclean.” She has not been faithful to her husband. And she has drunk the water that brings a curse. Then it will go into her body. It will cause her to suffer bitterly. It will make her body unable to have children. She will become a curse.

And when he has made her drink the water, then, if she has defiled herself and has broken faith with her husband, the water that brings the curse shall enter into her and cause bitter pain, and her womb shall swell, and her thigh shall fall away, and the woman shall become a curse among her people.

If she has defiled herself by being unfaithful to her husband, the water that brings on the curse will cause bitter suffering. Her abdomen will swell and her womb will shrink, and her name will become a curse among her people.

我必用刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫追趕他們，使他們成為地上萬國所驚懼的，在我趕逐他們到的各國中，成為令人驚駭、被人咒罵、嗤笑、羞辱的對象。

“因為萬軍之耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘我從前怎樣把我的怒氣和烈怒傾倒在耶路撒冷的居民身上，現在你們進入埃及的時候，我也必照樣把我的烈怒傾倒在你們身上。你們就必成為令人驚駭、被人咒罵、咒詛和羞辱的對象。你們必不能再看見這地方。

猶大家和以色列家啊！你們從前怎樣在萬國中成為可咒詛的，將來，我也要怎樣拯救你們，使你們成為祝福。你們不要懼怕，你們的手務要剛強。’

那些決意去埃及地，在那裡寄居的猶大餘剩的人，我必把他們除去；他們必在埃及地滅絕；他們必倒在刀下，必因饑荒滅亡；他們從最小的到最大的都必因刀劍和饑荒而死，以致成了令人驚駭、被人咒罵、咒詛和羞辱的對象。

所有被擄到巴比倫的猶大人，都要因他們的遭遇這樣咒詛人，說：“願耶和華使你像巴比倫王用火燒死的西底家和亞哈一樣。”

你們必留下自己的名，作我選民的咒語；主耶和華必殺死你們，必用另外的名去稱呼他自己的僕人。

在耶和華要領你去的各民族中，你必成為使人驚駭、使人嘲笑和諷刺的對象。

我必使他們成為地上萬國所驚恐、所討厭的；在我趕逐他們到的各地方，成為被人羞辱、譏笑、嘲弄、咒詛的對象。

我發現一個比死亡更惡毒的婦人，她有如羅網，心如陷阱，手如鎖鍊。蒙神喜悅的人得以擺脫她，罪人卻被她纏住。

求你待他們好像待米甸人，像在基順河待西西拉和耶賓一樣；他們都在隱．多珥被消滅，成了地上的糞土。求你使他們的貴族像俄立和西伊伯，使他們的王子像西巴和撒慕拿。

但是，如果你作妻子時背棄了丈夫，被人玷污了；如果你在你的丈夫以外，曾與別的男人同寢’，

如果我們領受了真理的知識以後，還是故意犯罪，就再沒有留下贖罪的祭品了；只好恐懼地等待著審判，和那快要吞滅眾仇敵的烈火。如果有人干犯了摩西的律法，憑著兩三個證人，他尚且得不到憐憫而死；何況是踐踏神的兒子，把那使他成聖的立約的血當作俗物，又侮辱施恩的聖靈的人，你們想想，他不是應該受更嚴厲的刑罰嗎？因為我們知道誰說過：“伸冤在我，我必報應。”又說：“主必定審判他自己的子民。”

那麼，你們在現今以為羞恥的事上，當時得了甚麼呢？那些事的結局就是死。

對於滅亡的人，這是死亡的氣味叫人死；對於得救的人，這卻是生命的香氣使人活。這些事誰夠資格作呢？

尤其是那些隨從肉體，生活在污穢的私慾中，和輕蔑當權的，更是這樣。他們膽大任性，毫無畏懼地毀謗在尊位的。

至終卻苦似苦菫，快如兩刃的劍。她的腳走下死地，她的腳步踏向陰間。她不理會生命之路，她的路徑變遷無定，自己也不知道。孩子們，現在要聽從我，不可離棄我口中的話。你的道路要遠離她，不可走近她的家門；免得你的精力給了別人，你的年日交給了殘忍的人；免得外人飽享你的財物，你勞碌得來的歸入別人的家。在你生命終結，你的肉體和身軀衰殘的時候，你就悲歎，
