If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse.

Suppose she has made herself“ unclean.” She has not been faithful to her husband. And she has drunk the water that brings a curse. Then it will go into her body. It will cause her to suffer bitterly. It will make her body unable to have children. She will become a curse.

And when he has made her drink the water, then, if she has defiled herself and has broken faith with her husband, the water that brings the curse shall enter into her and cause bitter pain, and her womb shall swell, and her thigh shall fall away, and the woman shall become a curse among her people.

被掳到巴比伦的犹大人咒诅人的时候会说，“愿耶和华使你的下场像被巴比伦王烧死的西底迦和亚哈一样！”

我的选民必用你们的名字作咒诅，主耶和华必杀死你们，给祂的仆人另起名字。

“在耶和华驱逐你们去的列国，你们的下场将很可怕，受尽嘲笑和讥讽。

使他们的遭遇令天下万国惊惧。在我流放他们去的地方，他们必受凌辱、嘲笑、讥讽和咒诅。

我发现有的妇人比死亡更苦毒，她是个陷阱，心如网罗，手像锁链。敬畏上帝的人避开她，罪人却被她俘虏。

求你对付他们，如同对付米甸人和基顺河边的西西拉与耶宾。他们在隐·多珥灭亡，成了地上的粪土。求你使他们的首领得到俄立和西伊伯那样的下场，使他们的王侯得到西巴和撒慕拿那样的下场。

如果你曾出轨，背着丈夫与人通奸，

因为我们知道了真理以后，若仍然故意犯罪，就再没有赎罪祭了，只有可怕的审判和烧灭敌对者的烈火等候我们。人违犯摩西的律法，经两三个人指证后，尚且被毫不留情地处死，更何况人践踏上帝的儿子，轻看那使人圣洁的立约之血，又藐视赐人恩典的圣灵？这等人该受多么重的刑罚啊！我们知道上帝说过：“申冤在我，我必报应。”祂又说：“主要审判祂的百姓。”

做了现在想起来也觉得羞耻的事，得到了什么益处呢？那些事只能导致死亡！

对灭亡的人而言，这香气是叫人死亡的香气；对得救的人来说，这香气却是叫人得生命的香气。谁能担当这样的重任呢？

尤其是那些放纵污秽的情欲、轻视权柄的人。他们胆大妄为，肆无忌惮地毁谤有尊荣的。

最后却苦如艾草，锋利似双刃剑。她的双脚走进死地，她的步伐迈向阴间。她不走生命的康庄大道，偏离了正途也不自知。孩子们啊，要听从我，不可违背我的话！要远远避开淫妇，不可靠近她的家门，免得你为别人枉费精力，为残忍之徒断送青春；免得外人吞尽你的财富，你的辛劳所得归给他人。临终之时，肉体衰残，你必呻吟不止，
