I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.”

(“ Oh, that I had someone to hear me! I sign now my defense— let the Almighty answer me; let my accuser put his indictment in writing.

“ I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven.”

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.

‘ This is what the Lord says: I am going to bring disaster on this place and its people— all the curses written in the book that has been read in the presence of the king of Judah.

I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand.If anyone does not love the Lord, let that person be cursed! Come, Lord!

Jeremiah had written on a scroll about all the disasters that would come upon Babylon— all that had been recorded concerning Babylon.He said to Seraiah,“ When you get to Babylon, see that you read all these words aloud.Then say,‘ Lord, you have said you will destroy this place, so that neither people nor animals will live in it; it will be desolate forever.’When you finish reading this scroll, tie a stone to it and throw it into the Euphrates.Then say,‘ So will Babylon sink to rise no more because of the disaster I will bring on her. And her people will fall.’” The words of Jeremiah end here.
