“ Command the Israelites to send away from the camp anyone who has a defiling skin disease or a discharge of any kind, or who is ceremonially unclean because of a dead body.

“ Tell the Israelites that certain people must be sent away from the camp. Command them to send away anyone who has a skin disease. They must send away all those who have liquid waste coming from their bodies. And they must send away those who are‘ unclean’ because they have touched a dead body.

“ Command the people of Israel that they put out of the camp everyone who is leprous or has a discharge and everyone who is unclean through contact with the dead.

“ Command the people of Israel to remove from the camp anyone who has a skin disease or a discharge, or who has become ceremonially unclean by touching a dead person.

“ Command the Israelites to send away anyone from the camp who is afflicted with a skin disease, anyone who has a discharge, or anyone who is defiled because of a corpse.

“ Command the sons of Israel that they send away from the camp everyone with leprosy, everyone having a discharge, and everyone who is unclean because of contact with a dead person.

The Lord said to Moses,“ Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them:‘ A priest must not make himself ceremonially unclean for any of his people who die, (niv)

As long as they have the disease they remain unclean. They must live alone; they must live outside the camp. (niv)

But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean on account of a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same dayand said to Moses,“ We have become unclean because of a dead body, but why should we be kept from presenting the Lord’s offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?”Moses answered them,“ Wait until I find out what the Lord commands concerning you.”Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Tell the Israelites:‘ When any of you or your descendants are unclean because of a dead body or are away on a journey, they are still to celebrate the Lord’s Passover, (niv)

The Lord replied to Moses,“ If her father had spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Confine her outside the camp for seven days; after that she can be brought back.” (niv)

“ Anyone who has killed someone or touched someone who was killed must stay outside the camp seven days. On the third and seventh days you must purify yourselves and your captives. (niv)

“ Whoever touches a human corpse will be unclean for seven days.They must purify themselves with the water on the third day and on the seventh day; then they will be clean. But if they do not purify themselves on the third and seventh days, they will not be clean.If they fail to purify themselves after touching a human corpse, they defile the Lord’s tabernacle. They must be cut off from Israel. Because the water of cleansing has not been sprinkled on them, they are unclean; their uncleanness remains on them.“ This is the law that applies when a person dies in a tent: Anyone who enters the tent and anyone who is in it will be unclean for seven days,and every open container without a lid fastened on it will be unclean.“ Anyone out in the open who touches someone who has been killed with a sword or someone who has died a natural death, or anyone who touches a human bone or a grave, will be unclean for seven days. (niv)

“ Speak to the Israelites and say to them:‘ When any man has an unusual bodily discharge, such a discharge is unclean.Whether it continues flowing from his body or is blocked, it will make him unclean. This is how his discharge will bring about uncleanness:“‘ Any bed the man with a discharge lies on will be unclean, and anything he sits on will be unclean.Anyone who touches his bed must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.Whoever sits on anything that the man with a discharge sat on must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.“‘ Whoever touches the man who has a discharge must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.“‘ If the man with the discharge spits on anyone who is clean, they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.“‘ Everything the man sits on when riding will be unclean,and whoever touches any of the things that were under him will be unclean till evening; whoever picks up those things must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.“‘ Anyone the man with a discharge touches without rinsing his hands with water must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.“‘ A clay pot that the man touches must be broken, and any wooden article is to be rinsed with water.“‘ When a man is cleansed from his discharge, he is to count off seven days for his ceremonial cleansing; he must wash his clothes and bathe himself with fresh water, and he will be clean.On the eighth day he must take two doves or two young pigeons and come before the Lord to the entrance to the tent of meeting and give them to the priest.The priest is to sacrifice them, the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement before the Lord for the man because of his discharge.“‘ When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean till evening.Any clothing or leather that has semen on it must be washed with water, and it will be unclean till evening.When a man has sexual relations with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both of them must bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.“‘ When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening.“‘ Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean.Anyone who touches her bed will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.Anyone who touches anything she sits on will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, they will be unclean till evening.“‘ If a man has sexual relations with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days; any bed he lies on will be unclean.“‘ When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period or has a discharge that continues beyond her period, she will be unclean as long as she has the discharge, just as in the days of her period.Any bed she lies on while her discharge continues will be unclean, as is her bed during her monthly period, and anything she sits on will be unclean, as during her period.Anyone who touches them will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. (niv)

Now there were four men with leprosy at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other,“ Why stay here until we die? (niv)

In cases of defiling skin diseases, be very careful to do exactly as the Levitical priests instruct you. You must follow carefully what I have commanded them.Remember what the Lord your God did to Miriam along the way after you came out of Egypt. (niv)
