After the priest has had the woman stand before the Lord, he shall loosen her hair and place in her hands the reminder- offering, the grain offering for jealousy, while he himself holds the bitter water that brings a curse.

The priest must have the woman stand in front of the Lord. Then he must untie her hair. He must place in her hands the offering that calls attention to the wrong thing a person has done. It is the grain offering for being jealous. The priest must keep the bitter water with him. It is the water that brings a curse.

And the priest shall set the woman before the Lord and unbind the hair of the woman’s head and place in her hands the grain offering of remembrance, which is the grain offering of jealousy. And in his hand the priest shall have the water of bitterness that brings the curse.

When the priest has presented the woman before the Lord, he must unbind her hair and place in her hands the offering of proof— the jealousy offering to determine whether her husband’s suspicions are justified. The priest will stand before her, holding the jar of bitter water that brings a curse to those who are guilty.

The priest shall then have the woman stand before the Lord and let down the hair of the woman’s head, and place the grain offering of reminder in her hands, that is, the grain offering of jealousy; and in the hand of the priest is to be the water of bitterness that brings a curse.

Then the priest shall stand the woman before the Lord, uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering for remembering in her hands, which is the grain offering of jealousy. And the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that brings a curse.

And the priest shall set the woman before Jehovah, and let the hair of the woman’s head go loose, and put the meal- offering of memorial in her hands, which is the meal- offering of jealousy: and the priest shall have in his hand the water of bitterness that causeth the curse.

Your own evil will discipline you; your own apostasies will reprimand you. Recognize how evil and bitter it is for you to abandon the LORD your God and to have no fear of me. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD of Armies.

“ The person who has a case of serious skin disease is to have his clothes torn and his hair hanging loose, and he must cover his mouth and cry out,‘ Unclean, unclean!’

Samuel said,“ Bring me King Agag of Amalek.” Agag came to him trembling, for he thought,“ Certainly the bitterness of death has come.”

then the man is to bring his wife to the priest. He is also to bring an offering for her of two quarts of barley flour. He is not to pour oil over it or put frankincense on it because it is a grain offering of jealousy, a grain offering for remembrance to draw attention to guilt.

I know your works— your love, faithfulness, service, and endurance. I know that your last works are greater than the first.But I have this against you: You tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and teaches and deceives my servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat meat sacrificed to idols.I gave her time to repent, but she does not want to repent of her sexual immorality.Look, I will throw her into a sickbed and those who commit adultery with her into great affliction. Unless they repent of her works,I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am the one who examines minds and hearts, and I will give to each of you according to your works.

And I find more bitter than death the woman who is a trap: her heart a net and her hands chains. The one who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner will be captured by her.

Be sure there is no man, woman, clan, or tribe among you today whose heart turns away from the LORD our God to go and worship the gods of those nations. Be sure there is no root among you bearing poisonous and bitter fruit.

He will require the woman to drink the bitter water that brings a curse, and it will enter her to cause bitter suffering.The priest is to take the grain offering of jealousy from the woman, present the offering before the LORD, and bring it to the altar.The priest is to take a handful of the grain offering as a memorial portion and burn it on the altar. Afterward, he will require the woman to drink the water.

in the end she’s as bitter as wormwood and as sharp as a double-edged sword.

So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me,“ Take and eat it; it will be bitter in your stomach, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth.”Then I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. It was as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I ate it, my stomach became bitter.

For if a woman doesn’t cover her head, she should have her hair cut off. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, let her head be covered.

Indeed, it was for my own well-being that I had such intense bitterness; but your love has delivered me from the Pit of destruction, for you have thrown all my sins behind your back.

Marriage is to be honored by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, because God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.No creature is hidden from him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.

May this water that brings a curse enter your stomach, causing your belly to swell and your womb to shrivel.’“ And the woman will reply,‘ Amen, Amen.’

Then the priest is to take holy water in a clay bowl, take some of the dust from the tabernacle floor, and put it in the water.

but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her as a covering.
