When the camp is to move, Aaron and his sons are to go in and take down the shielding curtain and put it over the ark of the covenant law.

When the camp is ready to move, Aaron and his sons must go into the tent. They must take down the curtain that hides the ark where the tablets of the covenant law are kept. They must cover the ark with the curtain.

When the camp is to set out, Aaron and his sons shall go in and take down the veil of the screen and cover the ark of the testimony with it.

When the camp moves, Aaron and his sons must enter the Tabernacle first to take down the inner curtain and cover the Ark of the Covenant with it.

Whenever the camp is about to move on, Aaron and his sons are to go in, take down the screening curtain, and cover the ark of the testimony with it.

忽然，殿裏的幔子從上到下裂為兩半，地也震動，磐石也崩裂，

第二幔子後又有一層帳幕，叫作至聖所，

將要起營的時候，亞倫和他兒子把聖所和聖所的一切器具遮蓋完了，哥轄的子孫就要來擡，只是不可摸聖物，免得他們死亡。會幕裏這些物件是哥轄子孫所當擡的。

他又必在這山上除滅遮蓋萬民之物和遮蔽萬國蒙臉的帕子。

「你要用藍色、紫色、朱紅色線，和撚的細麻織幔子，以巧匠的手工繡上基路伯。要把幔子掛在四根包金的皂莢木柱子上，柱子上當有金鈎，柱子安在四個帶卯的銀座上。要使幔子垂在鈎子下，把法櫃擡進幔子內；這幔子要將聖所和至聖所隔開。

按着軍隊首先往前行的是猶大營的纛。統領軍隊的是亞米拿達的兒子拿順。

凡屬呂便營、按着軍隊被數的，共有十五萬一千四百五十名，要作第二隊往前行。「隨後，會幕要往前行，有利未營在諸營中間。他們怎樣安營就怎樣往前行，各按本位，各歸本纛。

大衛起身，率領跟隨他的眾人前往，要從巴拉‧猶大將神的約櫃運來；這約櫃就是坐在二基路伯上萬軍之耶和華留名的約櫃。他們將神的約櫃從岡上亞比拿達的家裏擡出來，放在新車上；亞比拿達的兩個兒子烏撒和亞希約趕這新車。他們將神的約櫃從岡上亞比拿達家裏擡出來的時候，亞希約在櫃前行走。大衛和以色列的全家在耶和華面前，用松木製造的各樣樂器和琴、瑟、鼓、鈸、鑼，作樂跳舞。到了拿艮的禾場，因為牛失前蹄，烏撒就伸手扶住神的約櫃。神耶和華向烏撒發怒，因這錯誤擊殺他，他就死在神的約櫃旁。大衛因耶和華擊殺烏撒，心裏愁煩，就稱那地方為毗列斯‧烏撒，直到今日。那日，大衛懼怕耶和華，說：「耶和華的約櫃怎可運到我這裏來？」

屬哥轄的，有暗蘭族、以斯哈族、希伯倫族、烏薛族。這是哥轄的諸族。按所有男子的數目，從一個月以外看守聖所的，共有八千六百名。哥轄兒子的諸族要在帳幕的南邊安營。烏薛的兒子以利撒反作哥轄宗族家室的首領。他們所要看守的是約櫃、桌子、燈臺、兩座壇與聖所內使用的器皿，並簾子和一切使用之物。祭司亞倫的兒子以利亞撒作利未人眾首領的領袖，要監察那些看守聖所的人。

「要用皂莢木做一櫃，長二肘半，寬一肘半，高一肘半。要裏外包上精金，四圍鑲上金牙邊。也要鑄四個金環，安在櫃的四腳上；這邊兩環，那邊兩環。要用皂莢木做兩根槓，用金包裹。要把槓穿在櫃旁的環內，以便擡櫃。這槓要常在櫃的環內，不可抽出來。必將我所要賜給你的法版放在櫃裏。要用精金做施恩座，長二肘半，寬一肘半。要用金子錘出兩個基路伯來，安在施恩座的兩頭。這頭做一個基路伯，那頭做一個基路伯，二基路伯要接連一塊，在施恩座的兩頭。二基路伯要高張翅膀，遮掩施恩座。基路伯要臉對臉，朝着施恩座。要將施恩座安在櫃的上邊，又將我所要賜給你的法版放在櫃裏。我要在那裏與你相會，又要從法櫃施恩座上二基路伯中間，和你說我所要吩咐你傳給以色列人的一切事。」

把法櫃安放在裏面，用幔子將櫃遮掩。
