“ Six of the towns you give the Levites will be cities of refuge, to which a person who has killed someone may flee. In addition, give them forty-two other towns.

“ Six of the towns you give the Levites will be cities to go to for safety. A person who has killed someone can run to one of them. Also give the Levites 42 other towns.

“ The cities that you give to the Levites shall be the six cities of refuge, where you shall permit the manslayer to flee, and in addition to them you shall give forty-two cities.

“ Now among the cities which you will give to the Levites you shall appoint six cities of refuge, to which a manslayer may flee. And to these you shall add forty-two cities.

And the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites, they shall be the six cities of refuge, which ye shall give for the manslayer to flee unto: and besides them ye shall give forty and two cities.

予之以法蓮山之示劍與其郊、為誤殺人者逃避之邑、基色與其郊、

在拿弗他利支派中、得迦利利之基叠與其郊、為誤殺人者逃避之邑、又得哈末多珥與其郊、加珥坦與其郊、共三邑、

主護態受屈之人、護庇之在患難之日、

亦將有遮庇之處、或作亦將有幕晝可作陰以避暑、亦可為掩蔽之所、以避狂風暴雨、

凡勞苦負重者、當就我、我將賜爾以安、

我仰賴天主得拯救、得榮耀、倚賴天主如堅固之磐、我在天主得蒙蔭庇、惟爾眾民、當時常仰賴天主、在天主前傾吐衷懷、因護庇我儕者乃天主、細拉、

爾所備逃避之邑、當有六、在約但東備三、在迦南地備三、俱為逃避之邑、

爾告以色列人云、當遵我昔託摩西所命爾者、擇逃避之邑、使無知而誤殺人者可逃於彼、如是此邑於爾中、可為逃避復仇之所、逃至此邑者、當立於城門、自訴其事於邑之長老前、長老收之入邑、予之一所、使居其中、若復仇者追及、則長老不可以殺人者付於其手、蓋誤中殺人、素與被殺者無仇、彼居此邑、迨立於會眾前被鞫、以俟當時之大祭司卒、則殺人者可歸所由逃之故邑故家、○於是以色列人在拿弗他利山地、擇加利利之基叠、在以法蓮山地、擇示劍、在猶大山地、擇基列亞巴、基列亞巴即希伯崙、又在約但外耶利哥、擇屬流便支派平原之比悉、在曠野、屬迦得支派基列之拉末、屬瑪拿西支派巴珊之哥蘭、此即為以色列人及居其間外邦之客旅、所擇之邑、使誤殺人者、未立於會眾前被鞫、可逃於彼、免死於復仇者之手、

當時摩西在約但東、區別三邑、使素與人無仇而誤殺之者、可逃於彼、逃入其邑、即可保全生命、一為比悉、在平原之野、屬流便支派、一為基列之拉末、屬迦得支派、一為巴珊之歌蘭、屬瑪拿西支派、○

我儕避難堅心希望所許之福、既有此永不可易之二事、天主於此事、不能誑言、我儕即大有勉勵、

求主向我右觀視、無人認識我、我無處避難、無人問我安危、我呼籲主、我云、主乃護衛我者、我在世間時、以主為生業、
