“ Six of the towns you give the Levites will be cities of refuge, to which a person who has killed someone may flee. In addition, give them forty-two other towns.

“ The cities that you give to the Levites shall be the six cities of refuge, where you shall permit the manslayer to flee, and in addition to them you shall give forty-two cities.

乃殺人者之逃城、即以法蓮山地之示劍與其郊、基色與其郊、

由拿弗他利支派中、得殺人者之逃城、即加利利之基低斯與其郊、哈末多珥與其郊、加珥坦與其郊、共三邑、

耶和華為屈抑者之高臺、避難之高臺兮、

且有幕為晝蔭、以避暑熱、又為庇所、以避颶風暴雨焉、

凡勞苦負重者就我、我賜爾安、

我之拯救尊榮、盡在上帝、我能力之磐石、我之避所、亦在上帝兮、惟爾眾民、宜時恃之、傾心其前、上帝乃我儕之避所兮、

逃城必有其六、約但東三、迦南地三、

告以色列人云、當遵我藉摩西所命爾者、簡立逃城、俾無心而誤殺人者、可遁於彼、為爾逃避復仇之所、逃至斯邑者、當立邑門、自訴其事於長老、長老接之入邑、給之以所、使居其中、若復仇者追之、勿以殺人者付於其手、蓋彼誤殺其鄰、素無仇恨、彼居是邑、迨其受鞫於會眾前、俟當時之大祭司卒、乃返所逃出之故邑、而歸其家、遂簡立加利利之基低斯、在拿弗他利山地、示劍、在以法蓮山地、基列亞巴、即希伯崙、在猶大山地、又於約但濱、耶利哥東、簡立流便支派平原、在野之比悉、迦得支派基列之拉末、瑪拿西支派巴珊之哥蘭、斯邑既定、凡以色列人、與其中賓旅、誤殺人者、可逃於彼、免死於復仇者之手、迨其受鞫於會眾前、

當時摩西在約但東、日出之處、區別三邑、使素無仇怨、而誤殺人者、可逃入之、以保其生、一為原野之比悉、為流便人而設、一為基列之拉末、為迦得人而設、一為巴珊之哥蘭、為瑪拿西人而設、○

既有二不易之事、上帝固不能誑我儕、既已逃避、持守所置吾前之望、大得慰藉、

試觀我右、無人識我、無處避難、無人顧我兮、耶和華歟、我呼籲爾、謂爾為我避所、在生人之地、爾為我業兮、
