“ Six of the towns you give the Levites will be cities of refuge, to which a person who has killed someone may flee. In addition, give them forty-two other towns.

“ Six of the towns you give the Levites will be cities to go to for safety. A person who has killed someone can run to one of them. Also give the Levites 42 other towns.

“ The cities that you give to the Levites shall be the six cities of refuge, where you shall permit the manslayer to flee, and in addition to them you shall give forty-two cities.

“ Six of the towns you give the Levites will be cities of refuge, where a person who has accidentally killed someone can flee for safety. In addition, give them forty two other towns.

“ The cities you give the Levites will include six cities of refuge, which you will provide so that the one who kills someone may flee there; in addition to these, give forty-two other cities.

The cities which you shall give to the Levites shall be the six cities of refuge, which you shall provide for the one who commits manslaughter to flee to; and in addition to them you shall give forty two cities.

“ Now among the cities which you will give to the Levites you shall appoint six cities of refuge, to which a manslayer may flee. And to these you shall add forty-two cities.

And the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites, they shall be the six cities of refuge, which ye shall give for the manslayer to flee unto: and besides them ye shall give forty and two cities.

於是以色列人照耶和華所吩咐的，從自己的地業中，將以下所記的城邑和城邑的郊野給了利未人。

以色列人將希伯崙，就是誤殺人的逃城和屬城的郊野，給了祭司亞倫的子孫；又給他們立拿和屬城的郊野，

又從迦得支派的地業中，將基列的拉末，就是誤殺人的逃城和屬城的郊野，給了他們；又給他們瑪哈念和屬城的郊野，

又從呂便支派的地業中給了他們比悉和屬城的郊野，雅雜和屬城的郊野，

以色列人又從瑪拿西半支派的地業中將巴珊的哥蘭，就是誤殺人的逃城和屬城的郊野，給了利未支派革順的子孫；又給他們比‧施提拉和屬城的郊野，共兩座城；

以色列人將以法蓮山地的示劍，就是誤殺人的逃城和屬城的郊野，給了他們；又給他們基色和屬城的郊野，

又從拿弗他利支派的地業中將加利利的基低斯，就是誤殺人的逃城和屬城的郊野，給了他們；又給他們哈末‧多珥和屬城的郊野，加珥坦和屬城的郊野，共三座城。

耶和華又要給受欺壓的人作高臺，在患難的時候作高臺。

必有亭子，白日可以得蔭避暑，也可以作為藏身之處，躲避狂風暴雨。

凡勞苦擔重擔的人可以到我這裏來，我就使你們得安息。

我的拯救、我的榮耀都在乎神；我力量的磐石、我的避難所都在乎神。你們眾民當時時倚靠他，在他面前傾心吐意；神是我們的避難所。（細拉）

你們所分出來的城，要作六座逃城。在約旦河東要分出三座城，在迦南地也要分出三座城，都作逃城。

「你吩咐以色列人說：你們要照着我藉摩西所曉諭你們的，為自己設立逃城，使那無心而誤殺人的，可以逃到那裏。這些城可以作你們逃避報血仇人的地方。那殺人的要逃到這些城中的一座城，站在城門口，將他的事情說給城內的長老們聽。他們就把他收進城裏，給他地方，使他住在他們中間。若是報血仇的追了他來，長老不可將他交在報血仇的手裏；因為他是素無仇恨，無心殺了人的。他要住在那城裏，站在會眾面前聽審判，等到那時的大祭司死了，殺人的才可以回到本城本家，就是他所逃出來的那城。」於是，以色列人在拿弗他利山地分定加利利的基低斯；在以法蓮山地分定示劍；在猶大山地分定基列‧亞巴（基列‧亞巴就是希伯崙）；又在約旦河外耶利哥東，從呂便支派中，在曠野的平原，設立比悉；從迦得支派中設立基列的拉末；從瑪拿西支派中設立巴珊的哥蘭。這都是為以色列眾人和在他們中間寄居的外人所分定的城邑，使誤殺人的都可以逃到那裏，不死在報血仇人的手中，等他站在會眾面前聽審判。

「那時，摩西在約旦河東，向日出之地，分定三座城，使那素無仇恨、無心殺了人的，可以逃到這三城之中的一座城，就得存活：為呂便人分定曠野平原的比悉；為迦得人分定基列的拉末；為瑪拿西人分定巴珊的哥蘭。」

藉這兩件不更改的事，神決不能說謊，好叫我們這逃往避難所、持定擺在我們前頭指望的人可以大得勉勵。

求你向我右邊觀看，因為沒有人認識我；我無處避難，也沒有人眷顧我。耶和華啊，我曾向你哀求。我說：你是我的避難所；在活人之地，你是我的福分。
