犯了死罪，故意杀人的，你们不可收取赎价代他赎命，因为他必被处死。

“‘ Do not accept a ransom for the life of a murderer, who deserves to die. They are to be put to death.

“‘ Do not accept payment for a murderer’s life. A murderer deserves to die. They must certainly be put to death.

Moreover, you shall accept no ransom for the life of a murderer, who is guilty of death, but he shall be put to death.

约押虽然没有拥护过押沙龙，但曾拥护亚多尼雅；这消息传到约押那里，他就逃到耶和华的帐幕里去，抓紧祭坛的角。有人告诉所罗门王约押逃到耶和华的帐幕里去了，现在就在祭坛的旁边。于是所罗门差派耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅去说：“你去把他杀死。”比拿雅来到耶和华的帐幕那里，对约押说：“王这样吩咐说：‘你出来！’”约押说：“我不出去！我要死在这里。”于是比拿雅回覆王说：“约押这样说，他这样回答我。”王对比拿雅说：“你照着约押的话行吧！杀死他，把他埋葬，好叫约押所流无辜人的血，从我和我父的家除去。耶和华必使约押流无辜人的血的罪归到他自己头上，因为他击杀了两个比他又公义又良善的人，就是用刀杀了以色列的元帅尼珥的儿子押尼珥，和犹大的元帅益帖的儿子亚玛撒，这事我的父亲大卫一点都不知道。愿流这二人的血的罪归到约押和他后裔的头上，直到永远；但大卫和他的后裔，他的家和他的国却要从耶和华那里得享平安，直到永远。”于是耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅上去击杀他，把他杀死，葬在旷野约押自己的家中。

若有人任意待他的邻舍，用诡计把他杀了，你要把他从我的祭坛那里拿去处死。

流你们的血、害你们生命的，我必向他们追偿；无论是走兽或人类，甚至各人自己的兄弟，我必要他偿命。流人血的，人也必流他的血；因为神造人，是按着他自己的形象。

“但是，如果有人恨他的邻舍，埋伏着等他，起来攻击他，把他杀死了，然后逃到这些城中的一座；他本城的长老要派人去，把他从那里带出来，交在报血仇的人手中，好把他处死。你的眼睛不可顾惜他，却要把流无辜人的血的罪从以色列中除掉，好使你平安无事。

神啊！你是拯救我的神，求你救我脱离流人血的罪；我的舌头就必颂扬你的公义。

大卫对拿单说：“我得罪了耶和华了。”拿单对大卫说：“耶和华已经除去了你的罪，你必不至于死。
