有控告長老的案件，非有兩三個證人就不要受理。

你們的律法也記着說：『兩個人的見證才算為真』。我是為自己作見證，還有差我來的父也為我作見證。」

「不先聽本人的口供，查明他所做的事，難道我們的律法還定他的罪嗎？」

「我要賜權柄給我那兩個見證人，穿着粗麻衣說預言一千二百六十天。」

要憑兩個證人或三個證人的口，才可以把他處死，不可只憑一個證人的口處死他。證人要先動手，然後眾百姓也動手把他處死。這樣，你就把惡從你中間除掉。

「倘若人用鐵器打死人，他是故意殺人的；故意殺人的必被處死。
