不过基督已经来到，做了那些已经发生的美善之事的大祭司，经过了那更大、更完美的会幕。那会幕不是人手所造的；就是说，不属于这被造的世界。他也没有藉着山羊和牛犊的血，而是藉着他自己的血，一次性地进入圣所，成就了永恒的救赎。

要知道，我们领受了真理的知识以后，如果还故意犯罪，就不再有赎罪的祭物被保留下来；只保留了对审判的可怕等待，和那将要吞灭敌对者的嫉恨之火。任何拒绝摩西律法的人，凭两个或三个见证人的见证，就得不到怜悯而死，何况一个人践踏了神的儿子，把那使自己成圣的立约之血看做是俗物，又侮辱了恩典的圣灵，你们想想，这个人难道不该受更厉害的惩罚吗？因为我们认识曾说过“报应在我，我将回报”的那一位，他又说过“主要审判自己的子民。”

保罗对百夫长和士兵们说：“这些人如果不留在船上，你们就不能获救。”

然而，我们不是退缩以致灭亡的人，而是有信仰以致保全灵魂的人。

原来，如果有人蒙过一次光照、尝过属天恩赐的滋味、曾经与圣灵有份、尝过神美善的话语和将要来临之世代的权能，却背弃了真理，就不可能再次更新以至于悔改了。因为他们亲自把神的儿子再次钉上十字架，公然羞辱他。要知道，当一块田地吸收了常常降在它上面的雨水，并且为种地的人长出有用菜蔬时，它就享受从神而来的祝福；但如果它长出荆棘和蒺藜，就没有用处了，很快就要被诅咒，它的结局就是被焚烧。

巴拿巴到了，看见神的恩典就感到欢喜，鼓励大家要立定心志，继续靠主，

因为我们如果把那起初的确信，坚定地持守到底，我们就成为基督的同伴了。

为此，基督做了新约的中保，藉着死赎清了人在第一个约之下的过犯，好使那些蒙召的人可以得到所应许的永恒继业。要知道，遗嘱在哪里生效，立遗嘱之人的死亡就必须得到证实。事实上，人死了，遗嘱才能确立，因为立遗嘱之人活着的时候，遗嘱绝对不能生效。

你们当住在我里面，我就住在你们里面。枝条如果不留在葡萄树上，就不能由自己结出果子；照样，你们如果不住在我里面，你们也是如此。“我就是葡萄树，你们是枝条。那住在我里面、我也在他里面的，他才结出很多果子，因为没有我，你们什么也不能做。一个人如果不住在我里面，就像枝条被丢在外面枯干了，然后被收集扔进火里焚烧。
