The assembly must protect the one accused of murder from the avenger of blood and send the accused back to the city of refuge to which they fled. The accused must stay there until the death of the high priest, who was anointed with the holy oil.

The court must provide a safe place for the person accused of murder. It must keep the one accused of murder safe from those who want to kill them. The court must send the accused person back to the city they ran to for safety. The accused person must stay there until the high priest dies. That priest has been anointed with holy oil.

And the congregation shall rescue the manslayer from the hand of the avenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to his city of refuge to which he had fled, and he shall live in it until the death of the high priest who was anointed with the holy oil.

The community must protect the slayer from the avenger and must escort the slayer back to live in the city of refuge to which he fled. There he must remain until the death of the high priest, who was anointed with the sacred oil.

或是受膏的祭司犯了罪，使百姓陷在罪里，他就当为自己所犯的罪，把没有残疾的公牛犊献给耶和华为赎罪祭。

“在弟兄中作大祭司的，头上倒了膏油，承接圣职，穿了圣衣，不可蓬头散发，也不可撕裂衣服；

所以，弟兄们，既然我们靠着耶稣的血得以坦然进入至圣所，是藉着他给我们开了一条又新又活的路，从幔子经过，这幔子就是他的身体。既然我们有一位伟大祭司治理上帝的家，那么，我们该用诚心和充足的信心，同已蒙洁净、无亏的良心，和清水洗净了的身体来亲近上帝。

如今却蒙上帝的恩典，藉着在基督耶稣里的救赎，就白白地得称为义。上帝设立耶稣作赎罪祭，是凭耶稣的血，藉着信，要显明上帝的义；因为他用忍耐的心宽容人先前所犯的罪，好使今时显明他的义，让人知道他自己为义，也称信耶稣的人为义。

他把膏油倒在亚伦的头上膏他，使他成为圣。

他不用山羊和牛犊的血，而是用自己的血，只一次进入至圣所就获得了永远的赎罪。若山羊和公牛的血，以及母牛犊的灰，洒在不洁的人身上，尚且使人成圣，身体洁净，何况基督的血，他藉着永远的灵把自己无瑕疵地献给上帝，更能洗净我们的良心，除去致死的行为，好事奉那位永生的上帝。为此，基督作了新约的中保；因为他的死，赎了人在第一个约之时所犯的罪过，使蒙召的人能得着所应许永远的产业。

所以，凡靠着他进到上帝面前的人，他都能拯救到底，因为他长远活着为他们祈求。这样一位圣洁、无邪恶、无玷污、远离罪人、高过诸天的大祭司，对我们是最合适的；他不像那些大祭司，每日必须先为自己的罪，后为百姓的罪献祭，因为他只一次将自己献上就把这事成全了。律法所立的大祭司本是有弱点的人，但在律法以后，上帝以起誓的话立了儿子为大祭司，成为完全，直到永远。

既在十字架上消灭了冤仇，就藉这十字架使双方归为一体，与上帝和好，并且来传和平的福音给你们远处的人，也传和平给那些近处的人，因为我们双方藉着他，在同一位圣灵里得以进到父面前。

因为误杀人的应该住在逃城里，直到大祭司去世。大祭司去世以后，误杀人的才可以回到他所得为业之地。

既然我们有一位伟大、进入高天的大祭司，就是耶稣—上帝的儿子，我们应当持定所宣认的道。因为我们的大祭司并非不能体恤我们的软弱；他也在各方面受过试探，与我们一样，只是他没有犯罪。所以，我们只管坦然无惧地来到施恩的宝座前，为要得怜悯，蒙恩惠，作及时的帮助。
