“ But if he pushed him suddenly without enmity, or hurled anything on him without lying in wait

「人若不是出於仇恨，把人推倒，或不是埋伏等着丟東西砸人，

「『倘若有人並非懷恨而是偶然推倒人致死，或無意間扔東西砸人致死，

“‘但是，如果人沒有仇恨，忽然把人推倒，或是無意向人投擲甚麼器皿，

『人若沒有仇恨、突然將人推倒、或是沒有懷着惡意、而往人身上扔甚麼器物，

如無釁隙、而猝然刺人、或非潛伏、而以物擲人、

如毫無釁隙、而猝然刺及、或非伏要、而以物相射、

若無仇偶然推人下、或無心擲物於人身、

“‘ But if without enmity someone suddenly pushes another or throws something at them unintentionally

“‘ But what if a person suddenly pushes someone else without being angry? Or what if that person throws something at someone else without meaning to?

“ But suppose someone pushes another person without having shown previous hostility, or throws something that unintentionally hits another person,

“ But if anyone suddenly pushes a person without hostility or throws any object at him without malicious intent

‘ But if he pushed him suddenly, without hostility, or threw any object at him without malicious intent,

‘ However, if he pushes him suddenly without enmity, or throws anything at him without lying in wait,

But if he thrust him suddenly without enmity, or hurled upon him anything without lying in wait,

“ But if anyone suddenly pushes a person without hostility or throws any object at him without malicious intent

But if he thrust him suddenly without enmity, or have cast upon him any thing without laying of wait,

“ But if he strikes him suddenly, without enmity, or throws anything at him unintentionally,

“‘ But if he shoved him suddenly without hostility, or hurled on him anything without lying in wait,

then you shall select cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the manslayer who kills any person without intent may flee there.

But if he did not lie in wait for him, but God let him fall into his hand, then I will appoint for you a place to which he may flee.

that the manslayer who strikes any person without intent or unknowingly may flee there. They shall be for you a refuge from the avenger of blood.

as when someone goes into the forest with his neighbor to cut wood, and his hand swings the axe to cut down a tree, and the head slips from the handle and strikes his neighbor so that he dies— he may flee to one of these cities and live,

And if the avenger of blood pursues him, they shall not give up the manslayer into his hand, because he struck his neighbor unknowingly, and did not hate him in the past.
