“ Command the Israelites to give the Levites towns to live in from the inheritance the Israelites will possess. And give them pasturelands around the towns.

“ Command the Israelites to give the Levites towns to live in. The towns must come from the shares of land the people will have as their own. Also give the Levites the grasslands around the towns.

“ Command the people of Israel to give to the Levites some of the inheritance of their possession as cities for them to dwell in. And you shall give to the Levites pasturelands around the cities.

“ Command the people of Israel to give to the Levites from their property certain towns to live in, along with the surrounding pasturelands.

原來，摩西在約旦河東已經把產業分給那兩個半支派，只是在他們中間沒有把產業分給利未人。因為約瑟的子孫是兩個支派，就是瑪拿西和以法蓮，所以沒有把地分給利未人，但給他們城邑居住，並城邑的郊野，可以牧養他們的牲畜，安置他們的財物。

挨着猶大的地界，從東到西，必有你們所當獻的供地，寬二萬五千肘。從東界到西界，長短與各分之地相同，聖地當在其中。

你們拈鬮分地為業，要獻上一分給耶和華為聖供地，長二萬五千肘，寬一萬肘。這分以內，四圍都為聖地。其中有作為聖所之地，長五百肘，寬五百肘，四面見方。四圍再有五十肘為郊野之地。要以肘為度量地，長二萬五千肘，寬一萬肘。其中有聖所，是至聖的。這是全地的一分聖地，要歸與供聖所職事的祭司，就是親近事奉耶和華的，作為他們房屋之地與聖所之聖地。又有一分，長二萬五千肘，寬一萬肘，要歸與在殿中供職的利未人，作為二十間房屋之業。也要分定屬城的地業，寬五千肘，長二萬五千肘，挨着那分聖供地，要歸以色列全家。歸王之地要在聖供地和屬城之地的兩旁，就是聖供地和屬城之地的旁邊，西至西頭，東至東頭，從西到東，其長與每支派的分一樣。這地在以色列中必歸王為業。我所立的王必不再欺壓我的民，卻要按支派將地分給以色列家。

不全是為我們說的嗎？分明是為我們說的。因為耕種的當存着指望去耕種；打場的也當存得糧的指望去打場。我們若把屬靈的種子撒在你們中間，就是從你們收割奉養肉身之物，這還算大事嗎？若別人在你們身上有這權柄，何況我們呢？然而，我們沒有用過這權柄，倒凡事忍受，免得基督的福音被阻隔。你們豈不知為聖事勞碌的就吃殿中的物嗎？伺候祭壇的就分領壇上的物嗎？主也是這樣命定，叫傳福音的靠着福音養生。

並且利未人之地，與歸城之地的東西兩邊延長之地（這兩地在王地中間），就是在猶大和便雅憫兩界中間，要歸與王。

然而利未人所得為業的城邑，其中的房屋，利未人可以隨時贖回。若是一個利未人不將所賣的房屋贖回，是在所得為業的城內，到了禧年就要出買主的手，因為利未人城邑的房屋是他們在以色列人中的產業。只是他們各城郊野之地不可賣，因為是他們永遠的產業。」

在迦南地的示羅對他們說：「從前耶和華藉着摩西吩咐給我們城邑居住，並城邑的郊野可以牧養我們的牲畜。」於是以色列人照耶和華所吩咐的，從自己的地業中，將以下所記的城邑和城邑的郊野給了利未人。為哥轄族拈鬮：利未人的祭司、亞倫的子孫，從猶大支派、西緬支派、便雅憫支派的地業中，按鬮得了十三座城。哥轄其餘的子孫，從以法蓮支派、但支派、瑪拿西半支派的地業中，按鬮得了十座城。革順的子孫，從以薩迦支派、亞設支派、拿弗他利支派、住巴珊的瑪拿西半支派的地業中，按鬮得了十三座城。米拉利的子孫，按着宗族，從呂便支派、迦得支派、西布倫支派的地業中，按鬮得了十二座城。以色列人照着耶和華藉摩西所吩咐的，將這些城邑和城邑的郊野，按鬮分給利未人。從猶大支派、西緬支派的地業中，將以下所記的城給了利未支派哥轄宗族亞倫的子孫；因為給他們拈出頭一鬮，
