You shall provide three cities across the Jordan, and three cities in the land of Canaan; they are to be cities of refuge.

Give three on this side of the Jordan and three in Canaan as cities of refuge.

Three will be east of the Jordan River. The other three will be in Canaan.

You shall give three cities beyond the Jordan, and three cities in the land of Canaan, to be cities of refuge.

“ And if the Lord your God enlarges your territory, just as He has sworn to your fathers, and gives you all the land that He promised to give your fathers—if you carefully follow all of this commandment which I am commanding you today, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in His ways always— then you shall add three more cities for yourself, besides these three.So innocent blood will not be shed in the midst of your land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and guilt for bloodshed will not be on you.

So they set apart Kedesh in Galilee in the hill country of Naphtali, and Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim, and Kiriath arba( that is, Hebron) in the hill country of Judah.And beyond the Jordan east of Jericho, they designated Bezer in the wilderness on the plain from the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead from the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan from the tribe of Manasseh.These were the designated cities for all the sons of Israel and for the stranger who resides among them, so that whoever kills a person unintentionally may flee there, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood until he stands before the congregation.

Then Moses set apart three cities across the Jordan to the east,for one to flee there who unintentionally killed his neighbor, without having hatred for him in time past; and by fleeing to one of these cities he might live:Bezer in the wilderness on the plateau for the Reubenites, Ramoth in Gilead for the Gadites, and Golan in Bashan for the Manassites.
