如果你們不把那地的居民從你們面前趕出去，所留下的人就必成為你們眼中的刺，肋旁的荊棘，在你們所住的地方擾害你們；

倘若你们不赶出那地的居民，所容留的居民就必作你们眼中的刺，肋下的荆棘，也必在你们所住的地上扰害你们。

倘若你们不把那地的居民从你们面前赶出去，那留下的居民就必成为你们眼中的刺，肋下的荆棘，也必在你们所住的地上扰乱你们；

倘若你们不把那地的居民从你们面前赶出去，那留下的居民就必成为你们眼中的刺，肋下的荆棘，也必在你们所住的地上扰乱你们；

如果你们不赶走那里的居民，留下来的人必成为你们眼里的刺和肋旁的荆棘，在你们所居之地搅扰你们，

你們若不把那地的居民從你們面前趕出去，你們所讓存留的人就會成了你們眼中的刺、肋下的荊棘，也會在你們所住的地擾害你們。

斯土之民、爾不驅逐、則爾所遺者、必為爾目中之刺、脇下之棘、擾爾於所居之地、

斯土之眾、爾不驅逐、則其遺民、必為爾目中之刺、肘下之棘、困苦爾於此。

若爾不驅逐斯地之居民、爾所存留者、必為爾目中之荊、脇下之刺、必擾害爾於爾所居之地、

“‘ But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.

“‘ But suppose you do not drive out the people living in the land. Then those you allow to remain there will become like needles in your eyes. They will become like thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.

But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those of them whom you let remain shall be as barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land where you dwell.

But if you fail to drive out the people who live in the land, those who remain will be like splinters in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will harass you in the land where you live.

But if you don’t drive out the inhabitants of the land before you, those you allow to remain will become barbs for your eyes and thorns for your sides; they will harass you in the land where you will live.

But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from you, then it will come about that those whom you let remain of them will be like thorns in your eyes and like pricks in your sides, and they will trouble you in the land in which you live.

But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall be that those whom you let remain shall be irritants in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land where you dwell.

But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then shall those that ye let remain of them be as pricks in your eyes, and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

因此我又說：‘我必不把他們從你們面前趕走，他們要作你們的敵人（按照《馬索拉文本》，“敵人”作“邊旁”，意思不明確，或譯﹕“網羅”﹔現參照各古譯本翻譯），他們的神要作你們的網羅。’”

他們沒有照著耶和華吩咐他們的，滅絕外族的人民，反而和外族人混居雜處，學習他們的風俗習慣。他們又事奉外族人的偶像，這就成了他們的網羅。

如果你們轉離耶和華，與你們中間剩下的這些國家的餘民聯絡，和他們通婚，互相來往，你們就必知道，耶和華你們的神必不再把這些國家從你們面前趕出去；他們必要成為你們的網羅和陷阱，肋下的鞭和眼中的刺，直到你們從耶和華你們的神賜給你們的這美地上滅亡為止。

耶和華你的神交給你的所有民族，你都要把他們消滅；你的眼不可憐惜他們；你也不可事奉他們的神，因為這必成為你的網羅。

不可讓他們住在你的境內，恐怕他們使你得罪我；如果你事奉他們的神，這必成為你的網羅。”

因為他必使你的兒子離開我，去事奉別的神，以致耶和華向你們發烈怒，就快快地把你們消滅。

便雅憫人沒有趕走住在耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，所以耶布斯人與便雅憫人一同住在耶路撒冷，直到今日。約瑟家也上去攻打伯特利；耶和華與他們同在。約瑟家派人去窺探伯特利。那城從前的名字叫路斯。窺探的人看見一個人從城裡出來，就對他說：“請你把進城的路指示我們，我們必恩待你。”那人把進城的路指示了他們，他們就用刀擊殺了那城的居民，卻把那人和他的全家都放走。那人到赫人之地去了，築了一座城，給它起名叫路斯；直到今日那城還叫這名。瑪拿西沒有趕走伯．善和屬於伯．善的鄉村的居民，他納和屬於他納的鄉村的居民，多珥和屬於多珥的鄉村的居民，以伯蓮和屬於以伯蓮的鄉村的居民，米吉多和屬於米吉多的鄉村的居民；迦南人決意住在那地。到以色列強盛了，就迫使迦南人作苦工，但沒有把他們完全趕走。以法蓮也沒有把住在基色的迦南人趕走，於是迦南人還住在基色，在以法蓮中間。西布倫沒有把基倫的居民和拿哈拉的居民趕走；於是迦南人還住在西布倫中間，成了作苦工的人。亞設沒有把亞柯的居民和西頓的居民趕走，也沒有把亞黑拉、亞革悉、黑巴、亞弗革和利合的居民趕走。於是亞設人住在當地的居民迦南人中間，因為他們沒有把他們趕走。拿弗他利沒有把伯．示麥的居民和伯．亞納的居民趕走；於是他們就住在當地的居民迦南人中間；伯．示麥和伯．亞納的居民成了給他們作苦工的人。亞摩利人強迫但人退回山地上，不容他們下到平原來。亞摩利人決意住在希烈山、亞雅崙和沙賓；但約瑟家的勢力強大以後，他們就成了作苦工的人。亞摩利人的境界，是從亞克拉濱山坡，從西拉直上。

四圍一切恨惡以色列家的人，必不再向他們作刺人的荊棘、使人痛苦的蒺藜。人就知道我是主耶和華。
