Moses said to the Gadites and the Reubenites,“ Must your brothers go to war while you remain here?

摩西对他们说：“难道你们要坐在这里，让其他同胞去打仗吗？

摩西对迦得子孙和流本子孙说：“难道你们的兄弟去打仗，你们却坐在这里吗？

摩西對迦得子孫和呂便子孫說：「難道你們的弟兄去打仗，你們竟坐在這裏嗎？

摩西對迦得子孫和呂便子孫說：「難道你們的弟兄去打仗，你們卻留在這裏嗎？

摩西對迦得子孫和呂便子孫說：「難道你們的弟兄去打仗，你們卻留在這裏嗎？

摩西對他們說：「難道你們要坐在這裡，讓其他同胞去打仗嗎？

摩西對迦得子孫和流本子孫說：“難道你們的兄弟去打仗，你們卻坐在這裡嗎？

摩西對迦得子孫和如便子孫說：『難道你們的族弟兄去爭戰，你們竟坐在這裏麼？

摩西曰、汝之昆弟往戰、汝安坐於此乎、

摩西曰、汝同儕往戰、汝俱安坐於此乎。

摩西謂迦得人與流便人曰、爾同族之兄弟往戰、爾竟安居於此乎、

Moses said to the Gadites and Reubenites,“ Should your fellow Israelites go to war while you sit here?

Moses spoke to the people of Gad and Reuben. He said,“ Should the rest of us go to war while you stay here?

But Moses said to the people of Gad and to the people of Reuben,“ Shall your brothers go to the war while you sit here?

“ Do you intend to stay here while your brothers go across and do all the fighting?” Moses asked the men of Gad and Reuben.

But Moses asked the Gadites and Reubenites,“ Should your brothers go to war while you stay here?

But Moses said to the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben,“ Should your brothers go to war while you remain here?

And Moses said to the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben:“ Shall your brethren go to war while you sit here?

And Moses said unto the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to the war, and shall ye sit here?

But Moses asked the Gadites and Reubenites,“ Should your brothers go to war while you stay here?

And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?

Moses said to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben,“ Shall your brothers go to war while you sit here?

Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well.

Uriah replied to David,“ The ark and Israel and Judah reside in temporary shelters, and my lord Joab and my lord’s soldiers are camping in the open field. Should I go to my house to eat and drink and have marital relations with my wife? As surely as you are alive, I will not do this thing!”

It is not rude, it is not self- serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.
