So Moses gave to them, to the sons of Gad, the sons of Reuben, and to the half tribe of Joseph’s son Manasseh, the kingdom of Sihon, king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og, the king of Bashan, the land with its cities with their territories, the cities of the surrounding land.

於是摩西以亞摩利王西宏、巴珊王噩之地、及境內之城邑、四周之鄉里、俱給迦得流便二族、約瑟子瑪拿西支派之半、○

於是摩西將亞摩利王西宏巴珊王噩之地、並境內四周之城邑、俱給迦得支派流便支派、與約瑟子瑪拿西子孫之半支派、

Then Moses gave to the Gadites, the Reubenites and the half-tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan— the whole land with its cities and the territory around them.

Then Moses gave their land to them. He gave it to the tribes of Gad and Reuben and half of the tribe of Manasseh. Manasseh was Joseph’s son. One part of that land had belonged to the kingdom of Sihon. He was the king of the Amorites. The other part had belonged to the kingdom of Og. He was the king of Bashan. Moses gave that whole land to those two and a half tribes. It included its cities and the territory around them.

And Moses gave to them, to the people of Gad and to the people of Reuben and to the half-tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land and its cities with their territories, the cities of the land throughout the country.

So Moses assigned land to the tribes of Gad, Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph. He gave them the territory of King Sihon of the Amorites and the land of King Og of Bashan— the whole land with its cities and surrounding lands.

So Moses gave them— the Gadites, Reubenites, and half the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph— the kingdom of King Sihon of the Amorites and the kingdom of King Og of Bashan, the land including its cities with the territories surrounding them.

So Moses gave to the children of Gad, to the children of Reuben, and to half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land with its cities within the borders, the cities of the surrounding country.

And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto the half- tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, according to the cities thereof with their borders, even the cities of the land round about.

So Moses gave them— the Gadites, Reubenites, and half the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph— the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land including its cities with the territories surrounding them.

And Moses gave unto them,[ even] to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts,[ even] the cities of the country round about.

So Moses gave to the Gadites, the Reubenites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph the realm of King Sihon of the Amorites, and the realm of King Og of Bashan, the entire land with its cities and the territory surrounding them.

Moses gave to them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and to the half- tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan; the land, according to its cities and borders, even the cities of the surrounding land.

Moses the servant of the Lord and the sons of Israel defeated them; and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh as a possession.

“ So we took possession of this land at that time. From Aroer, which is by the Valley of Arnon, and half the hill country of Gilead and its cities I gave to the Reubenites and to the Gadites.The rest of Gilead and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I gave to the half tribe of Manasseh, all the region of Argob.( As to all Bashan, it is called the land of Rephaim.Jair the son of Manasseh took all the region of Argob as far as the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, that is, Bashan, and named it after his own name: Havvoth jair, as it is to this day.)To Machir I gave Gilead.To the Reubenites and the Gadites I gave from Gilead even as far as the Valley of Arnon, the middle of the valley as a border, and as far as the river Jabbok, the border of the sons of Ammon;the Arabah also, with the Jordan as a border, from Chinnereth even as far as the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, at the foot of the slopes of Pisgah on the east.

And now the Lord your God has given rest to your brothers, as He spoke to them; therefore turn now and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you beyond the Jordan.

and we took their land and gave it as an inheritance to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of the Manassites.

“ Then we turned and went up the road to Bashan, and Og, king of Bashan, came out with all his people to meet us in battle at Edrei.But the Lord said to me,‘ Do not fear him, for I have handed him and all his people and his land over to you; and you shall do to him just as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon.’So the Lord our God also handed over to us Og, king of Bashan, with all his people, and we struck them until no survivor was left.We captured all his cities at that time; there was not a city which we did not take from them: sixty cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.All these were cities fortified with high walls, gates, and bars, besides a great many unwalled towns.We utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children of every city.But all the animals and the spoils of the cities we took as our plunder.“ So at that time we took the land from the hand of the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, from the Valley of Arnon to Mount Hermon

and his relatives, capable men, numbered 2,700, heads of fathers’ households. And King David appointed them as overseers of the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of the Manassites concerning all the affairs of God and of the king.

But Sihon king of Heshbon was not willing for us to pass through his land; for the Lord your God hardened his spirit and made his heart obstinate, in order to hand him over to you, as he is today.And the Lord said to me,‘ See, I have begun to turn Sihon and his land over to you. Begin taking possession, so that you may possess his land.’“ Then Sihon came out with all his people to meet us in battle at Jahaz.And the Lord our God turned him over to us, and we defeated him with his sons and all his people.

Now the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad had a very large number of livestock. So when they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, that it was indeed a place suitable for livestock,

The sons of Reuben, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, consisting of valiant men, men who carried shield and sword and shot with a bow and were skillful in battle, totaled 44,760 who went to war.

But Sihon would not permit Israel to pass through his border. Instead, Sihon gathered all his people and went out against Israel in the wilderness, and came to Jahaz and fought against Israel.Then Israel struck him with the edge of the sword, and took possession of his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as the sons of Ammon; for the border of the sons of Ammon was Jazer.Israel took all these cities, and Israel lived in all the cities of the Amorites, in Heshbon and in all her villages.For Heshbon was the city of Sihon, king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab and had taken all his land out of his hand, as far as the Arnon.For that reason those who use proverbs say,“ Come to Heshbon! Let it be built! So let the city of Sihon be established.For a fire spread from Heshbon, A flame from the town of Sihon; It devoured Ar of Moab, The dominant heights of the Arnon.Woe to you, Moab! You are destroyed, people of Chemosh! He has given his sons as fugitives, And his daughters into captivity, To an Amorite king, Sihon.But we have shot them down with arrows, Heshbon is destroyed as far as Dibon, Then we have laid waste as far as Nophah, Which reaches to Medeba.”So Israel lived in the land of the Amorites.Now Moses sent men to spy out Jazer, and they captured its villages and dispossessed the Amorites who were there.Then they turned and went up by the way of Bashan, and Og the king of Bashan went out against them with all his people, for battle at Edrei.But the Lord said to Moses,“ Do not fear him, for I have handed him over to you, and all his people and his land; and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon, king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon.”So they killed him and his sons and all his people, until there was no survivor left; and they took possession of his land.

For the tribe of the sons of Reuben have received theirs according to their fathers’ households, and the tribe of the sons of Gad according to their fathers’ households, and the half tribe of Manasseh have received their possession.

With the other half tribe, the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance which Moses gave them beyond the Jordan to the east, just as Moses the servant of the Lord gave to them;from Aroer, which is on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, with the city which is in the middle of the valley, and all the plain of Medeba, as far as Dibon;and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, as far as the border of the sons of Ammon;and Gilead, and the territory of the Geshurites and Maacathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan as far as Salecah;all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei( he alone was left of the remnant of the Rephaim); for Moses struck them and drove them out.But the sons of Israel did not drive out the Geshurites or the Maacathites; instead, Geshur and Maacath live among Israel to this day.Only to the tribe of Levi he did not give an inheritance; the offerings by fire to the Lord, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, as He spoke to him.

From the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, who were designated by name to come and make David king.

And brought death to mighty kings, For His faithfulness is everlasting:Sihon, king of the Amorites, For His faithfulness is everlasting,And Og, king of Bashan, For His faithfulness is everlasting,And gave their land as an inheritance, For His faithfulness is everlasting,

He struck many nations And brought death to mighty kings,Sihon, king of the Amorites, Og, king of Bashan, And all the kingdoms of Canaan;
