吕便人、迦得人、玛拿西半支派的人都照摩西所吩咐他们的，带着兵器在以色列人的前面过去。

亚伦对摩西说：“我主啊，求你不要因我们愚昧，因我们犯罪，就将这罪加在我们身上。

嫩的儿子约书亚，年轻时就作摩西的助手，说：“请我主摩西禁止他们。”

我们自己却要带兵器，急速行在以色列人的前面，领他们直到他们的地方。我们的孩童可以留在坚固的城内，躲避当地的居民。

“耶和华曾吩咐我主抽签分地给以色列人为业，我主也遵照耶和华的吩咐，把我们兄弟西罗非哈的产业给他的女儿。

因为我们争战的兵器本不是属血气的，而是凭着上帝的能力，能够攻破坚固的营垒。我们攻破各样的计谋，和各样拦阻人认识上帝的高垒，又夺回人心来顺服基督。

那美好的仗我已经打过了，当跑的路我已经跑尽了，该信的道我已经守住了。从此以后，有公义的冠冕为我存留，就是按着公义审判的主到了那日要赐给我的；不但赐给我，也赐给凡爱慕他显现的人。

最后，你们要靠着主，依赖他的大能大力作刚强的人。要穿戴上帝所赐的全副军装，好抵挡魔鬼的诡计。因为我们的争战并不是对抗有血有肉的人，而是对抗那些执政的、掌权的、管辖这幽暗世界的，以及天空灵界的恶魔。所以，要拿起上帝所赐的全副军装，好在邪恶的日子能抵挡仇敌，并且完成了一切后还能站立得住。所以，要站稳了，用真理当作带子束腰，用公义当作护心镜遮胸，又用和平的福音当作预备走路的鞋穿在脚上。此外，要拿信德当作盾牌，用来扑灭那恶者一切烧着的箭。要戴上救恩的头盔，拿着圣灵的宝剑—就是上帝的道。要靠着圣灵，随时多方祷告祈求，并要为此警醒不倦，为众圣徒祈求。
